Device is eligible for unlocking. In which way do I request an unlock, and how long would it be for it to be accepted? Going on trip abroad in a few months, would like to struggle with this in advance, thank you.

What type of phone? According to the new requirements you will be notified once the phone is eligible by sms. That what happened to me after 40 days of usage.

Steps for unlocking not found on pdf manual or above steps. I am unsure how to proceed.

The Google Pixel 4a 5G is unlocked using the Device Unlock app. Once your device is eligible, you will look for the unlock app among your other apps and use that to process the permanent unlock.
