I do not work for Tmobile and my suggestions and or opinions are my own**.~~~~ The site here is primarily peer to peer with some TMO moderation to keep the site in order..They do not have account access..The prefered method would be to contact TMO through either calling in (tier 1 support) or by contacting them through either Facebook/Twitter (tier 2 support)**~~~~

What type of phone? If it's an Android you may be able to do a temporary unlock.

Is your wife a T-mobile USA customer? Does the device and her account meet all of the SIM Unlock Policy requirements?

SIM Unlock Policy | Unlock Your Mobile Wireless Device | T-Mobile

If so. She will need to contact T-Mobile to verify that all requirements have been met and to request the SIM unlock.
