I’m new to T-mobile home internet and was looking through this forum and the user manual and would appreciate a confirmation that currently on the Arcadyan gateway there is no way to stop wi-fi SSID name broadcast and/or to disable some SSID (like the 2.4 GHz). I was really hoping to turn off wi-fi (or at least hide it so it’s not on the list by default) and use a router only.

Gateway Firmware version 1.00.12
UI version v1.7.0

Is this really it, just a choice to combine/separate 2.4 GHz / 5 GHz networks?

Thank you :)

There appears to be a backdoor method for turning off SSID on the Arcadyan.

Thank you! I searched some more and just came up with the same :) It worked beautifully! All is now under control, what is broadcasting, what radios are enabled. Perfect.

Yes, SSID can easily be turned off.

Yes, SSID can easily be turned off …

Maybe for the Nokia, but currently not so easily on the Arcadyan.

Ha, I wouldn’t call it easy if you don’t have a Nokia.

I wrote a simple Python script to automate the NaterTater method:
