In the past, when I’ve purchased the one time International Data Plan I was asked when I want it to start. Yesterday I purchased it (planning ahead) and it started immediately!
I was reading through other questions, and one user recommends purchasing a the plan when you arrive, so it starts immediately. I have to say this is awful advice. There are a ton of things that I have to do when travelling, getting hotels, arranging transportation, making sure I have my passport, etc… The last thing I want to have to ALSO do is sit down, hope I have a connection, and order the data pass. Let me do it in advance. Or give me an option to start it now, or start it at a date/time in the future.
