TECHNICALLY, this is NOT a guest network! Please be careful with this feature. This is just an ADDITIONAL SSID, not a guest network. The private IP (DHCP) network range is same network as any other SSID that you choose.A guest network is a DMZ networkor completely separate IP subnet, where people connected to your wireless network can not access devices on your private network, BUT have access to the internet. This feature used in this fashion will provide a false sense of privacy, especially if you make the network password weak or guessable, as those doing war-driving or scanning for wireless networks can break into and then use that as a bridge to attempt to attack devices or snoop on your network for sensitive data.
That is strange! When I use a service like “whatismyipaddress.com”; it gives me my IP address, and a location, right down to the GPS coordinates. Latitude: 35.42 (35° 25′ 12.00″ N)Longitude: -97.5561 (97° 33′ 21.96″ W)Postal Code: 73119IP Details For: 172.56.7.17Decimal: 2889352977Hostname: 172.56.7.17ASN: 21928ISP: T-Mobile USAOrganization: T-Mobile USAType: Wireless BroadbandAssignment: Likely Static IPContinent: North AmericaCountry: United StatesState/Region: OklahomaCity: Oklahoma City Are you using a device like FireStick, AppleTV, or other? If so, maybe those have the device location services disabled (for privacy); meaning, something is blocking that from HULU. Check to ensure that you are sharing your location on whatever platform you are using.
I am sorry - too fast with my typing.. I meant to say…“Unfortunately you can NOT do so right now!” You can not do this.
Unfortunately you can do so right now! The web GUI and admin functionality of the 5G modem is severely limited. WYSIWYG. I have asked support, and submitted lots of suggestions. However, many voices get things done, I would recommend that you call and voice a suggestion/compliant that you want more robust admin functions for the LOCAL side of the network on that modem. Just about every other ISP and their modems have these features; not sure why they were turned on the T-Mobile modem.
I wanted to cross-post that I wrote the following “article” in this forum: There are known issues with the Cisco AnyConnect client, but technical support has a “Supported VPN List” available and what works with what version of the firmware of the “5G21-12W-A” gateway.----They confirmed with me today (8/3/2021) that the private network subnet can not be changed at this time, but took my heavily emphasized suggestion and said they will pass it up to the developers and product engineers.Currently locked at 192.168.12.x. I highly suggested to the support folks that they enable full admin functionality on the private side of the network, even if it means that you have to request the "advance features" be enabled to prevent support nightmares for people who do not know what they are doing, but giving those that do know what they are doing the ability to manage their network. that we formally request
