I got the home internet 55 a month service and i use it to work from home. well 4-10 times a day im restarting the gateway because the speed drops to slower then 3G when its supposed to be 5G at all times a restart fixes it for an indefinite amount of time.’

 

is there any reason for this or is it just because its based off a cellphone style infastructure

I had this same issue and after calling customer service and doing some troubleshooting on their end, I was sent a replacement modem. Everything was working great after that. Sometimes shutting off the modem for a few minutes and then back on will be enough to keep it running more smoothly as well.
