Hello all! My friend and their ex broke up after sharing a phone line. The phones were financed through my friend, but when they broke up the ex took the handset and started a new line with it. They also authorized the switch without my friend’s (the PAH) permission. My friend is now stuck paying the monthly payments on the handset. Is there a way to have that device removed from her account? TIA

Only if the other person with the device is still with T-Mobile and agrees to a transfer of responsibility for the device payments to their account. Otherwise, the PAH is on the hook to pay off the remainder of that device.

Did they get a new number for the new account? If so they didn't need permission.
