If this is true then this is absolutely preposterous and needs to be fixed ASAP.
When I signed up for a DIGITS number, I was told that it could be used exactly the same way 100% as my primary number on my phone. If short code verification text messages cannot be received on my DIGITS number, then I was entirely lied to.
DIGITS doesn't support short codes for verification texts?
Amen. I was told the same thing, and I’ve yet to hear any reason that short codes are not supported by Digits.
Security may be a reason. It goes to the specific line over multiple devices which gives more chances for a MIM attacks or various other exploits.
Agree that security may be the reason, but that needs to be stated.
Going over multiple devices seems to have been solved on lots of platforms, so presumably the Digits group should also be able to solve it.
