Please let me know if you are fixing the blocked text message problem. According to the post below, others are having this same problem. I have a ticket open and have been without outgoing texts for 9 days.

I just realized this morning that people I had texted were not receiving my texts although I was receiving theirs.

I contacted TMobile Support and was informed that I’m on a 10 day block.   They had no idea why after reviewing my very low texting activity.

I get NO messages from TMobile when I text that  indicates I’m being blocked.  People simply think I’ve been ghosting them when they don’t get any response to their texts.  Three of those texts were relative to scheduling contract presentations and reviews.  Thanks to TMobile, I have probably lost those deals.

Apparently, according to Support Supervisor, the block is implemented automatically by the system and there is NO way to override it.

I send MAYBE 5 texts a day and belong to 3 text groups with less than 8 others in each group.  Those groups text once or twice a week.

I traced my activity back to Oct 12 which according to Support is the day the block started.  I had one (1) text that day.  I had sent an article link to one (1) person.  The article was on … The Gateway Pundit.

Deja vu.

I’ve been having the same issue and I’m seeing across quite a few forums that many t mobile users, samsung in particular, are experiencing the same issue. Wonder what kind of lawsuit they’ll have for this one!

I have been blocked as of yesterday from sending text messages.  I can receive.  I was told that i sent too many “Links” in my text messages about the same topic.  The block is supposed to be lifted at 6:38 tomorrow morning.  No warning, thinking i was texting people and they weren’t getting my texts. After 2 + hours on the phone with customer service, I was told there isn’t anything they can do until the block is lifted.  I asked how to avoid this problem in the future, i was told to email links.  I’ve been a customer for over 20 years. I’m furious. That’s it we get no assistance no other reason for this to have happened.

Have the exact same issue - mine started in Dec 22 and I was restricted for 10 days - no idea why.  Then in January I started having the same issue - none of my text msgs were getting thru.  Tech support was of NO help. They think I’m suppose to put up with their stupid developers (probably from **ndia),  So I thought the problem (at first) was my phone (A71) so I bought a NEW phone and transferred my stuff over.  The text messages were getting thru to my friends for 1 WHOLE day - then bam, no test messages again.  Now I’m at the point of going to another carrier.  I’ve been with tmobile for 15 yrs - obviously loyalty doesn’t matter.  Their text message to me was it could take 3 days OR longer to get a resolution if any at all.  Don’t know about you guys, but their is just not acceptable.

Have you gone to another carrier? Which one and what brand phone did you get?

Have you sent a lot of messages in a day.  Especially with a link?  Have you install any suspect apps recently that might be sending texts, like play this game by clicking this link?

No more than usual. They are to smart news app with links to news articles about the  same topic. I've been doing the same for years.

So I bought a new phone 2 days ago and my problem with blocked messages is happening on the new phone.  I’m looking at Mint Mobile and Verizon.  I can buy the phone at Best Buy and have it activated there.  Mint you have to have it sent to you.  Their plans (mint) seem pretty good - coverage is normal.  I go to places without 5G so I dont care if I have it or not.  If I go to verizon, I’ll return this phone and buy new one at Verizon.

I very rarely sent links in my texts.  And when I do, its usually from a reputable site.

Reputable site for sure. I can't get a straight answer from anybody at tmoble. The block is supposed to be lifted tomorrow morning. If not I will go check out Verizon.

I have an idea, please let me know if anybody has tried this. I see free text messaging apps to download.  Google has one, WhatsAp has one. Would TMobile still monitor texts if on a different app? I was told the block will be lifted tomorrow morning. But I’m reading that it doesn’t always happen that way. I don’t really want to change carriers it’s expensive and my phone is paid for. But working around this text messaging problem is priority.

If someone happens to report a message from you as spam.  That could be why, whether or not the report was accidental or intentional.

I just found out my A53 is supported by AT&T.  So I can move to AT&T for plan coverage!

If you use a free text msg app, remember all your friends/family/businesses will need to have the same app.

What I think is going on...If you get reported as sending/texting spam and your account is restricted for 10 days, like me I think Tmobile is unblocking in one area of the code to my account and there are other screens/pages (i.e. blue screen) that also need to be unblocked.  But I know that there are programmers that are knowledgeable about certain areas of code and may not know the other areas of code.  It’s like a puzzle if you’re missing one piece, consider the puzzle unfinished!  GRRRRRR….

I have been having this issue since November! I’ve called multiple times to customer service. In November my T-Mobile account and phone number was hacked. Hundreds of scam texts went out from my number. Did this happen to any of you also?

I am experiencing the same thing. This started yesterday. I can't send a text. I can only receive them. Everything else works. I didn't even receive a notification that this was happening. Have been going back and forth with them since yesterday & each person says different things. It's a spam message blocking. I don't even know how to send spam. They don't have a clue when it will be unblocked. I'm very unhappy with this carrier.

My number was used to send scam texts. People would report my number as a scam number. T-Mobile had to file a ticket with their engineers to have the number unblocked. I started having the problem in November and it was barely fixed in March. I filed a complaint with the FCC, and I believe it’s the only reason I got a resolution.

It just happened to me for no reason, and ive been on hold w technical support for 2 hours. Im about to lose my mind.

Is this even legal? Is there anything in their terms and conditions that allow this?

Have some patience.  It is peak time for calls.  As an alternative.  You could see if chat is available or DM T-Mobile on Facebook or Twitter to see if they can help you quicker.

This happened to me on June 15, 2023.  I would text and I would get no responses.  I even text my own number and was like what is going on.  They told me bc someone in my family group chat reported my number as spam.  Umm that is not the case bc everyone was asked.  They put an urgent ticket in. Back-end Engineers denied it or couldn't take the spam block off.  Which I think is the most ridiculous thing ever.  I bet if I was a T-Mo employee it would not have happened, or the block would have been removed very quickly.  Quick to put a spam block on but can't take it off for 10 days???!!!!! I have called numerous times.  Last time was yesterday.  I hope the Account Manager / Specialist can actually help.  T-Mobile needs to get it together and learn how to actually tell the difference between a spam message and a text message from a number that has been with T-Mobile for over a decade.  One thing I know is that they will not be the number 1 carrier if they can't control their error.  Everyone uses texts more than they talk on the phone.  Unfortunately, I have family in a different state and not doing too well.  The only way to contact is through text.  I have 2 kids, 1 in another state for college with crazy class hours, and he texts me when he can.  Another child who just got their license.  Plus, I am a landlord, and all my tenant does is text.  Does T-Mobile realize what they are doing to their customers??!!!

I just filed a complaint with the BBB regarding T-Mobile blocking numbers for spamming when they actually are not spamming and the 10 day wait hold.  Unfortunately, it will take 14 days for the BBB to investigate. But at least its a start.

Same thing happening to me.  Just got blocked for sending Happy Fathers day to 5 of my friends on Sunday.  Got blocked 4 days later

This happened to me on June 20th. I could no longer send outgoing text. At first, T-Mobile told me I sent a URL link to someone that reported me, this was not the case. Then I was told 3 days later that the number of text messages I sent in a 24 hour period flagged my phone number as SPAM and I will remain blocked until July 1st. However, they could not tell me how many texts were too many. I had been with Sprint for over 20 years and remained with the carrier after T-Mobile bought them out, I had never had this issue ever. My texting varies from day to day, that particular day I had 87 outgoing text due to a death in the family. I am so disappointed in the management of this process. I was told nothing can be done! They cannot unblock my number because it is a computer system that blocks it, not a human. Has anyone had any success in getting their number unblocked ?

Tmobile is ridiculous. Ask them what did i send to get blocked. They say, we cant tell you. Switching to verizon. They invent new ways to get rid of customers.
