Is there anyway to recover chat messages. I turned digits off and then back on and some of my chat messages were missing.

That can depend on a lot of things. If you are an iPhone user. If you have things set to back up to the iCloud, you should be able to find them in your Apple Account. If you are on Android. There are some good apps for backing up texts I'm the PlayStore, like SMS Backup and Restore, but this has to be setup. If you allow Google to make backups with settings in your Google Account. They might be able to be recovered from in there. Otherwise, probably not.
