I have one contact that i cannot text and he cannot text me, but we can send each other pictures. No issues with any other contact. Contact has new phone with same problem, and i have removed and reloaded the contact. Contact can receive text messages with grouped with another contact.

both of you delete full history of each other..contacts..all texts where they are included in it. call history..all of it for both of you..then re add all of it back and try again. the issue can be coming from either side with this one.
