i have an older LG phone which I no longer use. I’d like to give it to my grandchild as a camera, but I’m unable to unlock it with my fingerprint and can’t remember the 9 dot pattern on the touchscreen. is there any other way to unlock or reset the phone?

What model? You maybe able to do a hard reset with the off and volume keys.
The model number is LG K30. I did a restart with vol. down and power. When the it restarted, it still would not let me use the fingerprint unlock and just presented the 9 dot pattern.

Thank you gramps28, that did the trick. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to back up the phone first, since I couldn’t unlock it. Fortunately, I’m pretty sure there wasn’t anything important on it.
