I’m using my own device/ phone. Checking my bill before doing a payment, I realized that T mobile is charging me as if the device was theirs.
Billing related issues need to be addressed with Customer Care by calling 611 from your T-Mobile line or by sending a DM to T-Mobile on Facebook or Twitter.
did you purchase it outright or was it on a lease recently? and if the later did you pay the final amount to own it and not just he final monthly payment?

If you brought a phone from another carrier or just using one you had already paid fully for, it is possible that the charge you see is for BYOD insurance. If you share a screenshot of the charge you are seeing, that would help us better identify what it might be. Remember to cover up any personal information before sharing :D
