First experience in home wifi might be a stupid question but, where do I locate my i.p. address?
Your IP address can be viewed on the information or details option of your wifi connection of your respective device. You could try to view all connected devices on your router but then it’s a guessing game of which IP is associated with your particular device.
For example, on Mac OS you just click on the wifi icon on the upper right while holding down the Option key. On an iPhone go to Settings, select wifi, then touch the “I” information icon next to the wifi channel that you are connected to.
Don’t use “what's my iP” from your browser since that only gives your gateway’s public IP instead of your device IP.
