I would contact TMobile. Either visit a store or contact support. Look at the top right side of this page. Your phone charger will not work.
I have used mine at friend’s house 30 miles away as a test when he was having problems with his. People use them in RVs. Try it I don’t think you will have a problem.

I assume you are referring to an internet gateway. First make sure you are using the WiFi password not the admin password. Be sure to include all the punctuation marks in the password. To see required password go to the app on your phone. Select NETWORK from the black bar at the bottom. Press the red arrow to the right of the desired network(s). Press the eyeball to see the password.Worse case you can press and hold for a bit the reset button on the gateway to restore factory settings.
Yes. I have been using one with various ISPs, including TMobile, for years with no problem.
Use the reset button on the tower. That should reset it to the WiFi password printed on the label.
In the app on your phone select NETWORK on the bottom line. Tap the red arrow to the right of the displayed network(s). It will display the network name in the clear and password. To view the password tap the eyeball at the right side.

In the app go to more and log out. Log in with the admin password for the other gateway. Or do what I do, use an old phone for the second gateway.
I just went through that this morning. A reset is required. It is not hard.
