My account says: Use your device in Mexico and CanadaCall, text, and browse in Mexico & Canada. No setup. No roaming charges. Your phone works the moment you arrive. Not for extended international use. Coverage not available in some areas. I have $90 in charges from my husbands phone. Is there a charge for him while there?
In October my wife and I will be in Europe. I don’t suspect that we will be doing a lot of calling but i do expect that we will be texting, downloading data and infrequent calls. What is the best plan?Is it better to just get a burner phone than to do an add on to our existing plan? My existing plan is the Magenta® MAX 55+Thanks
International calling and text
Hi,I need some qualified help. I have called support three times on my question and have gotten three different answers. Here is my situation. 1) I have an Alcatel flip phone (Model 4052W w/ KaiOS 2.5.2), a $40/month for 2 lines plan with unlimited talk and text, unlimited texting abroad in 215+ countries. I have NO data plan or internet access.2) I will be traveling to Ireland later this month and want to be able to send and receive calls and text from the U.S.3) From my support conversations, I may be charged $3/call & $1/text or $0.25/call & free texts if I sign up for a $50 plan or it depends on if I have roaming turned on. I am confused and no longer trust what’s told me on the phone. What do I need to do to have $0.25/call and free text. If this already included in my plan if I simply turn on roaming? Are there other potential costs involved with turning on roaming?
Nowhere to buy the international data pass
Hi, guys! I’m currently on a business trip out of the U.S.. Before the trip, I forgot to buy the international services from T-Mobile and now my sim card is completely out of services, which cannot receive text messages and make phone calls. Fortunately, I can still login to my T-mobile through web. But the problem is that there is not a international data pass option when I try to add on-demand passes. Do you know how to fix this? Or how can I receive the service aboard alternatively? Your help is greatly appreciated!!
International roaming service for a prepaid plan
Hello, I have Magenta prepaid plan (unlimited) and I'll be traveling to Spain soon. I'd like to use my iphone and current plan while I'm there. Do I need to activate any type of international roaming service? Can it be activated for a prepaid plan? thanks in advance!
International Internet Throttled to Rediculous Slow Speed
In past trips to Québec and to Europe, I do remember receiving a message from T-Mobile that my allowed high-speed data had reached its limit, and speed was being cut. I don’t remember to what speed, but I never noticed any difference. In a very recent trip to Québec I received a message after there 5 days that my 5GB of high speed data had been used up and I was being throttled back to 2G speed. 2G SPEED!!!! This quickly became useless as my navigation app couldn’t even keep up. In frustration I paid for an extra 5GB, but that was used up in less than 24 hours. Is this a change with T-Mobile?? If so it really sucks eggs!! Cutting back to 3G would still be workable, but 2G?? VERY unhappy!!
Under-appreciated Service Member
My brother is currently deployed with the Army for 9 months in Poland, and we have the T-Mobile military plan. It’s very disappointing and disheartening that we are receiving bills over $500 for international charges associated with my brother just trying to call his family back home. I would think T-Mobile would have more respect and less greed for my brother being deployed and wanting to call home. 😞😞😞
T-mobile unable to fix SMS problems with Greece
Here is an update on the previous thread of being able to receive SMS from any Greek carrier. I literally had 12 tickets opened with Tforce on twitter and 611. They promised they would escalate it. They never did. First, they said it was the sender. I gave them multiple numbers with the problem. I told them that when I switch the network from automatic to AT&T, even on wifi, messages did come through. When I told them more than one line had the problem, they asked for the second line. Their conclusion: it was the device. I used Verizon as a trial esim on my device and my friend used AT&T. No problem. And yet, T-mobile comes back with "ask the sender to check their network," "it's your device," and "line is provisioned correctly for SMS." I am horrified both at the bad customer service that refused to really escalate it to a level where it could be solved, and at myself for allowing this to happen when they kept running me around in circles.
Former Sprint customer - international roaming and data
I had a Sprint Unlimited My Way account, where I was never charged for data or calls in Europe (Sprint would connect to Vodaphone). I don’t know what I have now since this merger - I did notice that it says Canada and Mexico included but is Europe no longer included? I cannot get one single solitary soul on the phone at TMobile to answer this question.
international Calling within Costa Rica
I have the Simple Global Plan which covers free text, data, and $.25 per minute calling from Costa Rica to U.S. However, can someone confirm that I can make domestic calls for $.25 per minute I.e., calls within Costa Rica while travelling there? I don’t want to be surprised when returning that these calls made while travelling to local Costa Rican land lines are $3.00 a minute. Thank you.

Then I turned of data roaming and went to airplane mode because I was unsure if I was going to get charged or not.Anyone have experience with this scenario? thanks!
