My one experience was w. a Netgear extender. Not only was speed cut almost in half - but the signal emanating therefrom had a slightly diff. name. Couldn’t set up a whole home speaker system because of lack of similar name. Got the mesh system at that point.
Don’t forget, the signal from the extender will cut speed in half. And, normally will not have an identical name to the main router.
T-Mobile’s pricing is more than fair on all services EXCEPT their pricing for intl. calling! NEVER use TM to call outside U.S. (unless you are on one of their plans that includes Canada and Mexico.). Placing intl. calls via TM could hasten your visit to Bk. Court.
Those CS people on FB and Twitter are TM employees. Why they do it that way, I don’t know. Do ATT, Vz or other companies do that? The few times I’ve needed CS I simply call 611. I don’t have a FB or Twitter acct.
I assume you can write their CS people via Twitter or FB. I don’t do either of those services, so can’t comment. Neither ATT or Vz have CS via email unless you are a business (business acct.)
We have made use of the free wifi intl. calling back to U.S. for years when when abroad. (We have been Covid bound in U.S. since March.) Never had a problem - but can’t state for sure we ever hit 2 hours of calling - altho 90% I must have on a trip or 2. Nothing in their info, afaik, states there is a limit.
This is a 2+ year old thread. Every carrier charges for these premium calls. Or blocks them. I assume the VOIP operators do as well. Many years ago, there used to be “premium phone numbers starting with a/c 900 or “local” 976 numbers. They were/are very expensive. Sex lines, maybe some CS lines. These premium lines you are talking about charge 1 cent/min.
The call or text uses the TM system at some point. The recipient sees your TM number. Outgoing also uses TM to route call or text. A wifi call to a user on wifi could avoid use of any tower.
