I have been having this problem for a little while now and I can't figure out what is causing it. Whenever I am connected to the n41 band and I run speed tests on Ookla and I am connected to a t mobile server, it almost always gives me readings of over 100mbps download and over 5mbps upload. The thing is if I test on any other speed test website, it shows me readings anywhere from 10-30 mbps download and 1-3mbps upload even with my Xbox one. Not to mention that I also have a high packet loss a lot of the time and I don't get why. Does anyone know what could be causing this?🤔
A family member on my plan just moved into a newly constructed home. They are renting and will be there about 24 months and do no want to go through the hassle of waiting for cable to be installed and stopped by T-Mobile because I thought Home Internet would be a great solution. The problem is the address is so new that it is not in their database. I can get on a waitlist, but I am sure that could be months. I spent the last 48 hours there and we are hotspotting devices and my signal is 4 or 5 bars on 5G UC. I feel like my choices are get cable; get a Home Internet device and take it there and see if it works, and for how long. When it stops working just turn it in or check and see if that area is now covered … Any thoughts or advice …
I just added mesh wifi to my T-Mobile home internet and now I get great 5 GHz signal everywhere in my house. I’d like to turn off the wifi on my G4AR gateway and use the dedicated mesh as the primary router but can’t find a way in the app or website to do this (I figure the T-Mobile gateway will run better with the wifi off -- less heat, less wifi channel interference, etc). Does anyone have an easy fix? Thanks folks!
If you have T-Mobile Home Internet and you travel to another location, can you bring the gateway with you? If there is a signal it should connect, right?
I’m trying to figure out what the new home internet data threshold is going to mean regarding my internet experience. I average 1.4tb a month. I mostly watch TV and have cameras. The recent Netflix promotion change appears to add another 2tb. What could I be slowed down to? I need to know how usable it will be. I know wireless cant be guaranteed, but you should be able to give me some idea
How do I see the connected devices to my wifi?
