Hi @Trixxster Are you still experiencing the problem? What TMO Home Internet gateway do you have?
Hi @VodouPriest In what markets does Mediacom operate?
What TMO Home Internet gateway do you have?
@Piobaireachd I’ve been with TMOHI for about 1-½ months now. I was sent the Arcadyan KVD21 gateway and have had no issues so far with my internet service. Instead of giving up on TMOHI altogether, you might want to consider giving up on the Nokia 5G21 gateway and seeing if TMO Support can send you an Arcadyan gateway to try out.Have you consulted the Nokia gateway User Manual? https://files.customersaas.com/files/LiuZPLdoFty1MB9ZrJxcxysj.pdf
I ordered the gateway on 1/29 and received it on 1/31. What gateway did TMO send you?
Are these things common or bad luck? From my prospective, bad luck. I signed up for TMOHI almost two months ago and was sent the Arcadyan KVD21 gateway. I haven’t had any kind of issue so far. I’m saving only about $11.50 a month compared with the C.C.I. DSL I had previously, but, on average, I’m getting twice the download speed and seven times the upload speed. So, no complaints so far in my case.
With TMO Home Internet I’m getting about 50 up and 25 down. Make that about 50 down and 25 up.
I signed up for TMO Home Internet less than a month ago. For the first week of service I kept my DSL service with CCI. I live in a rural area and CCI’s fastest plan was 25 up and 2 down. With TMO Home Internet I’m getting about 50 up and 25 down. No interruptions of service so far. So, after a week I cancelled my DSL service. I have about 20 device connected. I stream videos with Prime Video, Hulu, and Sling. We use Zoom, Google Meets, and other similar platforms a lot. So far, no issues.
Hulu, Sling TV, Netflix, Prime Video, Apple TV, HBO Max, etc. are all streamable with the Arcadyan KVD21 gateway via Wi-Fi or Ethernet. What’s not streamable are Hulu Live and Sling Live TV - as explained in the T-Mobile Gateway FAQ and as I was told by the Customer Service Representative when I called last month to sign up for the service.
This is from the TM 5G Home Internet FAQ: Can I use Live TV streaming services?T-Mobile Home Internet uses dynamic IP addressing, meaning the customer’s IP address will change over time. Dynamic IP changes may cause the geolocation to show different than the physical location of the gateway. T-Mobile does not have the ability to change IP from dynamic to static. Streaming services that rely on IP address for specific location data to deliver live TV are not compatible with T-Mobile Home Internet. This includes Hulu Live and Sling Live TV.
Yes, your Internet line number can be found in the T-Mobile Internet app. It’s listed in bold on the bottom left-hand corner of the screen on the Home tab.
