@magenta8764569, my TMHI app does not have the issues you mention. The “Devices” tab shows all my connected devices, either showing their name or the last four digits of their MAC address. You might want to try using an app like Fing (in the Google Play store). It will scan your network and show all your devices, with information for each device (like IP address, MAC addresas, vendor, etc). It could the be of interest to you then compare that information with the information in the TMHI app.
@LouK, This is the link to one of Nater Tater’s videos on to install an external antenna on the Arcadyan KVD21. He has more.https://youtu.be/g-oKre_RSYg
@battlin, can you explain in more detail what you are trying to do?
Hi @KEC, the app will show you which devices are connectred to your nework, but not their data usage. If the app in the “Devices” tab does not show the device name it will show the last four digits of the device’s MAC address. The only whay you can establish which device is using 100MB every 5 minutes is to disconnect devices by going to the “Devices” tab and find the culprit by process of elimination.
Hi @emmaus33, there is no way to access advanced settings with the TMOHI Arcadyan KVD21 gateway. The only settings one can change are those in the “Ntework” tab in the app. A lot of good information is in Nater Tater’s YouTube videos. https://www.youtube.com/c/natertater
Hi @DeeMc, are you getting any error message on the Prime Video app on your Sony TV. Also, have you tried the Prime Video app on phone or tablet?
@Rospo, no, the TMO internet app doesn't allow for the changing of connected devices name. It's definitely an inconvenience.
Hi @Reed, which T-Mobile 5G gateway do you have?
Hi @TheTstandsforTerror, did you really mean $500/month? Not $50/month?
Hi @JiNC, I’ve had two TP-Link RE305 Wi-Fi extenders (not the RE315) connected wirelessly to my KVD21 TMO gateway. I’ve had no issues with them connecting and staying connected to the gateway. Also, I’ve had no issues connecting multiple devices to the extenders (2.4G and 5G).
Hi @Kendalljo, open the T-Mobile Internet app. Click on the “Devices” tab at the bottom. All your connected devices will be shown. Some will have their actual name. Others will only show the last four digits of their MAC address. By clicking on the devices listed more information will be displayed for each device.
Hi @Greenhats, I’m assuming you are trying to make a wireless connection. I have a TCL Roku TV. Every smart TV is a bit different, but in my case the setup is Settings > Network > Set Up Connection > Wireless. It will then scan for available networks. Once you choose the “T-Mobile” network you would enter your network passkey. It should then connect to your network. Are you getting an error message after entering your passkey? There wouldn’t be anything that needs connecting to the back of your TV, unless you are making a wired connection (Ethernet).
Hi @Cathy J , what message app are you using?
I just meant you might want to try to reposition your gateway. Maybe close to a different window. Maybe in a different area of your house. This could improve the quality of the signal your gateway is receiving.
That’s the gateway I’ve had since December 2022. At activation it upgraded the firmware to version 1.00.18 and that’s still the firmware version my gateway is still on.
Hi @rablakely53, Which TMO HI 5G gateway do you have?
@DXNL, In addition to the T-MOBILE network, I have four other networks created by TP Link extenders I have. However, these other networks do not slow my internet speed when I’m connected to the T-MOBILE network. All I can suggest (and you’ve propably done this already), if you previously had good speeds that have slowed down, is to reboot your gateway or change its location (in case that you are connecting to a different cell tower then you were before).
Hi @DXNL, are the two T-MOBILE-SYS-LINK networks yours? If so, have you connected a device to them?
@shortyyy, specifically, which TMO 5G gateway do you have (the Arcadyan KVD21, the Sagemcom Fast 5688W,…)?Also, are you encountering the issue while trying to set up your gateway for the first time, or has your TMO Homw Internet worked before and this is an issue you are having just now?
Hi @itdoesnotwork, since I’ve subscribed to TMO Hi in late Decenber 2022, I’ve had the Arcadyan KVD21 5G gateway. I haven’t had a problem with it so far.
@eeeyow, if I'm understanding correctly, you are trying to use your FW2000e as a replacement for the gateway that TM provides to it's 5G Home Internet subscribers. My understanding is that the only way to activate the TMO HI service is with the gateway TM sends you (which comes with a SIM card pre-installed).
@thebaby051274, which TMO HI gateway do you have?
Hi @eeeyow, the below thread had information you might find useful:
Hi @shortyyy, what internet issues specifically are you having? Also, was your internet working before you starting having these issues, and what TMO HI gateway do you have?
@Mzghost66 My understanding is that TMO starts charging the monthly fee the day that TMO HI is ordered.
