No gaming on hotspot

Given how many of these threads there are that deal with T-Mobile restricting P2P gaming on their 5G service without acknowledging that they are doing it, it might be time for a class action lawsuit. I just got told that “Tech Support” came back with a resolution super fast to my ticket. Would you believe that they think it isn’t the network, it’s not my phone, it is my computer. LOL. They won’t even acknowledge that there is an issue. All you have to do is a simple google search of “I can’t connect to discord on Tmobile 5g hotspot” and you will find pages upon pages of hits, many of them on here, the Tmobile community website. I wish I hadn’t switched from Verizon to this...

Wireless printer issue

I have a HP LaserJet Pro M15W printer. Since switching to T-Mobile Wi-Fi, I cannot get it to connect to my net work. When I look up instructions, it says I need to push a WPS button on my router. The problem is my 5G router does not have a WPS button. Is there anyway to connect my printer to T-Mobile Wi-Fi or am I just going to have to ditch a perfectly good printer that I had absolutely no problem with when I had AT&T Wi-Fi? Any suggestions would be appreciated. I have search the web for answers until I’m half blind!  Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Arcadyan KVD21 Gateway Update Rollout?

I recently received a Arcadyan KVD21 Gateway running firmware 1.00.12. I see firmware version 1.00.14 is available. Since I cannot manually install the firmware, nor can I request it to be installed, what is the rollout schedule?I’m having ridiculous reliability problems. The thing reboots on it’s own at random times. It has not had uptime of greater than 24 hours.Trying to determine if I should cancel the service, and cough up the extra money for Xfinity or AT&T both of which I strongly dislike.When can I feel the love tmo?

Arcadyan KVD21

I’ve had the Arcadyan for just over a week now.  Wondering if this is normal.  After it’s been on for a couple of days, the display lights up with my signal strength and seems to be locked up.  The buttons on the unit don’t function.  What I also noticed is that when I access the web interface, I do not have the option to separate SSIDs. This has happened twice.  I should add that my internet connection is still active and download and upload speed is working. The first time this happened, I tried to reboot the device.  That resulted in no 5G connection, only LTE.  Then I used a paper clip and reset the gateway.  That fixed it, but now two days later, and it appears to be stuck again.  Only this time, I’m leaving it since everything is working as far as the internet goes.  I have a Linksys router attached to the gateway in bridge mode.  My devices are all attached to the Linksys Wi-fi.  The Arc is also broadcasting Wi-fi but it doesn’t seem to be interfering.  So, any others out there

Slow home internet even with extender

I have t-mobile home internet. It was slow from the gitgo, but this is literally the only service I can get out here. I can't even get DSL.  I decided to try an external antenna to see if that would help. I cracked open the modem and hooked up the external antenna on the ports on the inside of the modem. The highest speed I can get is 7mb down and 3 up. Does anyone have any ideas how to help? I'm desperate I need this to be faster.  On a side note, I know exactly where the closest tower is and have the external 2 band mimo antenna pointed right at it. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Home Internet Speeds / connection quality

Hello,     I signed up for T-mobile home internet almost 1 month ago. In the beginning service was well above expectations..  The download speed was around 250Mbps and the upload around 30Mbps. However, after about two weeks.  Now it’s borderline unusable at times.  I’ve attached a couple screenshots hoping to figure out what the cause might be?   Pay special attention to the one speed test with very high jitter and ping… Any advice would be helpful..

Optimizing Home Internet for consistent upload speed

Hi everyone! I have been through hell trying to get the most consistent service using my new home internet setup.  I initially got the grey cylinder and through some troubleshooting / research / 20+ hours on the phone with fairly useless tech support via the Philipenes but have recently gotten a second line with the Arkadian model.   I just set up the new device and am not getting anywhere near the speeds from the grey cylinder + a TP-link wifi router that seemed to boost the signal a good bit.  Do I need to get another router for this new device? Or a wifi booster? Or should I connect directly to the black box with a good ethernet cord? My job relies on very consistent and fast upload bitrate so ultimately that is the goal.  So far, I’ve tried everything except reaching out here so I figured it couldn’t hurt to ask!  Any/all advice would be very helpful! Thanks!!!

Being Charged for 2 phone line not the Gateway Internet

I just opened my T-Mobile bill to find a full $77 charge for a second phone line instead of my $50/$55 Gateway Home internet charge. Wtf is this? Nothing at all was discussed about a second phone line and data charges. I don’t have 2 phones from T-Mobile. One phone, one Gateway. Anyone else experience this?I’ll be going to store tomorrow to cancel service. There’s a big difference between $55 flat and $77 not including extra data charges. The gateway doesn’t leave my house. Furious. 😡 Anyone have advice?

Hello. I work from home and was on a Microsoft Teams meeting on my work computer. My husband has an iPhone and he could hear the meeting audio playing on his phone, but it was somewhat garbled. How is this possible?

Adding Router to Arkadyan

I recently got T-Mobile’s 5G Home Internet. So far, I am pretty happy with the service. The only complaint I have is that the wi-fi signal does not reach to all the corners of my house. Can I add an external mesh router and nodes in the various room? If so, what kind and how do I set it up? As far as usage goes, I basically have like 30 smart light bulbs, 4 iPads, iPhones, and stream TV one or two TVs at a time. I also work from home so I use a lot of WebEx/Teams with video calls. Does T-Mo sell additional nodes that simply extend the signal?

The wifi box does not give the correct location on the Ethernet cable which also mean mesh wont work

So I returned the box and the second box has the same problem. I have been to the store. I have been to the help line in India. Nobody seems to know they have a problem. I have my computer Ethernet cable plugged directly into the T mobile wifi hub and when I look at my location it changes every time I power the box off and back on. Since my mesh plugs straight into the WIFI I can’t use my mesh for any sort of alarm clock, weather ,or location. The guy at the store said these are so new that it may take a while to get the bugs out. This sucks. My mesh is worthless. TMobile doesn’t even seem to know they have a problem. I wish I could get somebody to plug an Ethernet cable into their T Mobile modem and run any one of many web site  that will tell you your location.It is definitely nothing on my end. The Ethernet cable is a completely different hardware connection to the internet than the Tmobile signal coming in and being broadcast on WIFI. I ma going to try this for a little while and t

Form months I’ve had an issue with constantly needing to reboot in order to get my tv to hook up to WiFi. It’ll work great for a day or two, and then for a week, I’ll have to reboot 10 times a day.  Now todays my tv won’t connect to WiFi at all.  All my devices work great, just my tv won’t stay connected.  It’s a 4-year-old LG.  Does anyone else have a tv problem?  I’ve been on the phone to tech support at least a dozen times, reset to factory default, upgraded my connectivity through T-Mobile, etc.  They don’t know what else to do to help me.  Any ideas?

Is this how 5G Hotspots work on T-Mobile ?

I currently have an outage of my regular internet provider (AT&T) and a friend let me use his T-Mobile 5G Hotspot. It was working great at 10mb/sec for a day and a half, then it slowed down to .014 Mb/sec. I checked the router and it said ‘10gb monthly limit has been reached and will reduce speed until the next billing cycle’ . I sort of expected an eventual slowdown ( maybe 4G )  but  to 100kb/sec makes the internet almost un-useable ( it took 2 min for this page to load ). The first 1½  days almost had me changing but if this is the way it is going to be I am going to avoid T-Mobile. Is this the way 5G hotspots work on T-Mobile ?

LAN and WIFI Bridged or not?

I installed the TMobile 5G home internet and it works pretty good. I’m in rural PA and only get poor reception for TMobile. Does anyone know if the LAN interface is bridged to the WIFI interface? It seems that my Wifi devices cannot see the devices on the LAN interface.There are literally no settings in the device that I can control. As soon as I got this thing I wanted to put it on a designated subnet but that seems impossible. Seems that 192.168.12.x is hardcoded. I got around the subnet issue but now I need to bridge the lan and wifi interfaces. It seems almost as if the wifi interfaces are firewalled against the the lan interfaces.Thanks,David

Problem with high latency/ping

Hello all. We received our 5g Gateway two days ago and so far, have big problems.  We’ve been testing our latency and speeds over and over at https://www.speedtest.net and have observed the latency/ping on both our Windows 11 PCs is consistently between 40-60ms, at all hours of the day and night.  Download varies between 160mbps and 0.5mbps.  Upload is steady around 20-40mbps.We have done the following:Moved around the Gateway to many different areas of the house, tested the results at Speedtest.net, and selected the best area (3 bars).  Oddly, this is NOT close to a window, but in the middle of the kitchen.  (Yes, I am an RF engineer and I know how nuts that is.  Makes zero sense to me, but that’s what our results repeatedly demonstrate.  Regardless, ping is the same everywhere in the house.) Downloaded and run TCPOptimizer Rebooted our machines several times Contacted Tech Support, who said something about “keeping an eye on the tower” and promised to call us back in 24 hours.  (It’s

Heat causing inoperable gateway

My gateway becomes so hot you can't touch it. I bought a small fan that seems to reduce the amount of times I have to restart it.

I just got my KVD21-screen looks dead?

Just got plugged in and it seems to be working though I'm not sure it's supposed look like this...I unplugged it and plugged it back in, looked normal but didn't work. I repeated the process and was able to reconnect but screen went back to this...
