Good day,As a user of T-Mobile Home Internet (TMHI), and someone who answers questions about the setup in this forum, I thought it might be helpful to post a few videos on the setup. There are many setup videos available, but the one linked below seems easy to follow and understand. For advanced users, you will find it boring.NOTE: if you are in an area where a T-Mobile cell tower is not close, your signal and performance may not be adequate and this service may not be for you. However for me and many others, we are within about 1-2 miles (line of sight) of our cell tower for 5G service. If so, you should get “4-5 bars” and get over 75 - 150+ Mbps download speeds. Also - you can change your SSID / wifi network name and password (please do so) during the setup process when using the T0Mobile Internet app to setup your new gateway/device. And, with the second video, if the user would have rotated his gateway a few degrees and waited and check his signal, he would have probably seen a sig
Great news! For those who (like me) need a little better signal, and know an external antenna would be better, your prayers have been answered. See the link below on a new product announcement. I already hacked mine so I may wait, but if you need a better signal (= faster download speeds) this is a huge development. https://tmo.report/2023/08/its-here-the-new-t-mobile-home-internet-gateway/Will you be asking for an exchange for the new gateway?
In the past few days my wife and. I have received 6 phishing emails (see graphic below). I forward the emails to T-Mobile, so hopefully they can take some action. PLEASE do NOT respond to this email. If you check the senders email, ou will see something like: Carrington@portowhite.pt (definitely not t-mobile).Be aware there are some crappy people with ill intent that want to scam you. I hope this helps.
I thought this might be worth posting for new and existing T-Mobile Home Internet customers. A few have posted concerns about lack of signal strength. I think the following might be evidence of moving in the correct direction. There are several 4x4 (4 cables) antennas for home internet, and I think Waveform and Proxicast (you can find them Amazon). Watch till the end where Nader Nader posts some before and after data as well as cable connection sequence. Will you consider making the switch?
It seems there is some good news in the pipeline, according to the following story. In essence, T-Mobile home internet will be releasing two revised gateways, but the one to watch is the Sagemcom TMO4GSE. If you are like many of us and you need a little better signal, you used one of the numerous tutorials on how to open-up the gateway and add 2-4 SMA external antenna connectors to connect to a Waveform external antenna. The new Sagemcom gateway will reportedly have four (4) external SMA antenna connectors built into the gateway!! This will be a game-changer for many who are apprehensive about opening up the gateway to attach the required connectors.Question - when the revised Sagemcom TMO4GSE is released, will you ask to exchange your current gateway? https://tmo.report/2023/06/t-mobile-has-two-new-home-internet-gateways-in-the-pipeline-heres-what-we-know/https://www.waveform.com/a/b/guides/hotspots/t-mobile-5g-gateway-sagemcom
Good day,I keep my T-Mobile Sagemcom gateway cool by using a nifty little two-fan setup, where the one on the bottom sucks in cool air and the one on top blows out warm air. The fans are connected to a USB-A plug; I have a USB-A to C adaptor and it has been working great. Today, by accident I checked and noticed the fans were not working. I swapped out adaptors with no luck. I plugged the USB-A cable into my Mac mini server and the fans work. Question - have you ever had the USB-C port go inoperative? Any suggestions besides swapping the gateway out for another one? Thanks in advance!
Recently, I moved from Comcast Xfinity Internet to T-Mobile. Like many of you I have seen videos and read articles on how to attach an external antenna. I have a 2X2 Proxicast MIMO antenna, however, there is some question as to which connection to use on the Arcadyan Gateway. Currently, I am using M and M1 connections. I mounted the antenna in the rafters (2-story house) aiming toward the T-Mobile cell tower. My cell metrics did not change much. 5G -RSRP -92 with antenna, -93 without; RSRQ -6, -7 without; SINR 16, 8 without What are you using and do you have a different experience? Thanks!
Good day,I have had T-Mobile Home Internet Service for almost 6-months, and all is well...well, almost. I am trying to get Golf Channel streaming. I have tried numerous times with the activation code for NBC Peacock+ (NBC owns golf Channel) but all to no avail. Have you ben able to get it to work? When researching the Golf Channel website, I get the link that takes me to watch “Live.” When I use the link, it takes me to a list of ISPs (Comcast, etc.) and T-Mobile is not present. When I called Golf Channel, they are clueless. I stream Peacock, Apple, etc. all with no issues. Any suggestions much appreciated!
Hello I recently purchased T-Mobile Home internet and received the Arcadyan router. Currently, I have 4 bars but when I move it closer to the TM antenna I dogged 5 bars, so it is possible. Question - has anyone had success adding an external antenna to your Arcadyan router? I have watched Nader Tader and others, but want to see is anyone on this forum has any hands-on experience. Thank you!
