No MMS after switching Verizon Galaxy S7 to T-Mobile
Hello, I switched to T-Mobile from Verizon 5 days ago. I have a Verizon Samsung Galaxy S7. Ever since I switched to T-mobile, I have been unable to send or receive MMS. At first, I also had no mobile data, but switching my APN to settings I found on this forum allowed me to have data.I have spoken to 5 or 6 reps, and none have been able to solve the MMS problem. On my most recent call, I was told by the T-Mobile rep that it is impossible for me to use my phone on T-Mobile and that I have to purchase a T-Mobile phone. However, none of the other reps have said this and I was certainly not told this when switching to T-Mobile last week.Does anyone know how to get MMS working? If the last rep is correct and T-Mobile lied to me about being able to use my current phone on their service, I'll probably just switch back to Verizon because this has been so frustrating.Thank you!!
Note 10+ 5G GPS & Battery Issues/Problem
Hello,I just picked up the Note 10+ 5G from T-Mobile on launch day, and I'm having major issues with the phone's GPS. From searching online, it appears this is a known problem that was resolved on the Verizon version with a patch that was issued back in October, but seems to have been left out of the T-Mobile version. The phone will not obtain or maintain a GPS signal lock if you have the network set to 5G. It also struggles to get a GPS signal when in 4G mode too. Google Maps/Navigation and Waze both report "unable to connect to GPS", which leads me to believe it's a system issue with Android 10 or the firmware.I found threads reporting the same issue on the Samsung Community and XDA, I'm disappointed this bug wasn't addressed earlier like it was on Verizon. At least I got the Note via JoD, so I'm jumping back to the "regular" Note after my 30 days is up if this is not fixed soon.
Samsung S20 - Mic Icon missing from Samsung Keyboard
I hope someone can help or find the setting. On previous devices i was able to have a Mic icon to the left of my space bar. This button allowed me to switch to voice to txt easy and also get to my smiley faces faster. Can anyone help me get it back.
RCS file size limitations
OnePlus 6T.RCS is enabled in stock messenger.File size is set to up to 10.24GB.Video is only 70MB, but is "too large to send."Have tried All Files size, original, and Best Available as well.Best I can do is 720p at 20 sec.Still compresses the file into less than 600KB.What am I missing here?
Do texts work over WiFi?
I have a Google Pixel that I was using on Google Project Fi. I moved to T-Mobile a week ago and every since I moved, I am having a lot of problems receiving text messages and incoming calls when I am on WiFi.I work in an area with extremely poor T-Mobile cell coverage, but I have a good WiFi connection at work. I can browse the web and access the internet, but text messages do not come through.Phone calls seem extremely hit and miss. Sometimes they work and sometimes they do not.My phone shows the WiFi calling icon in the top left.I have a couple questions:1: Do SMS and MMS texts use wifi over cellular if it is available? Can you select which one it uses?2: Is there a way to troubleshoot this other than trying to send a text and seeing if it is received? Are there any logs that can be reviewed on the phone?Thank you.
Fixed Galaxy S7 APN issue
I bought a Samsung Galaxy S7 Active through AT&T and switched over to T-mobile. I unlocked my phone and everything worked for about a month. All of a sudden my phone stopped connecting to internet off Wi-Fi. My phone still made calls and sent and received texts, but the data wouldn't work. I made sure my data was turned on and tried restarting my phone, and even did a factory reset. Still didn't fix the issue. I called T-Mobile for help and they reset my APN info back to their default, but it still didn't work. They ended the call by basically sorry we can't help, sometimes phones from other carriers default back to the original carrier and there's nothing we can do to fix it. THIS IS COMPLETELY WRONG. Here is the solution.1. Go to Settings>Connections>Mobile Networks>Access Point Names2. Click on each name and in the top right corn click the 3 dot menu icon and click Delete APN. Delete ALL of them.3. Restart your phone.4. Repeat step 1 and go back to Access Point Names.5.
