OnePlus 6T - Connectivity and Wifi Calling issues...
I tell my snobby iPhone loving friends that the 6T is the greatest phone I've ever owned... I feel dirty doing it. cause it's a lie...I have three large issues. The first one, my wife and I both seem to have with the 6T:1) Switching between WiFi and cellular for data often (most of the time) leaves us with no connectivity... We see full bars on wifi and cell, but nothing will load. Cycling the protocols USUALLY fixes this, but sometimes a reboot is necessary to regain access. This usually happens when going from wifi to cellular.2) When in my car, during a call over Bluetooth, the phone disconnects from Bluetooth and then reconnects causing the call to switch from and then to the Bluetooth repeatedly... I, basically, need to put the call on speakerphone rather than over Bluetooth to have a decent call.3) When in an area with no service, WiFi-calling NEVER works. I get a REG90 error in WiFi & internet. I tried clearing data and cache in the sim-toolkit, as suggested in a bunch of di
LG G6 moisture in USB port Message
Yesterday while i was using my phone a notification showed up saying the phone detected moisture in the usb port. i found that odd because i never dropped my phone in water or even got it wet. i though nothing of it and plugged my phone in at night. I woke up in the morning with 25% left on the battery because it did not charge. I looked into the issue and found its a pretty common issue for the G6. I have tried every trick to fix the issue and nothing has worked. I finally went to tmobile where i bought my phone and they did a warranty claim. They could not even tell me when the new phone would ship because the refurbished phones are on backorder. To make the deal sweeter LG is charging me a $20 processing fee and $7 shipping fee and thats just to ship me the new phone. I knew LG has issues when i bought the phone but i did not know this issue would arise. The only solution i have is to use my wireless charger till my new phones comes in when off backorder. i wish i had more options t

Sony XZ2 and WiFi calling
I've seen this question posted in several places and was looking into the issue myself. The T-Mobile tech support lady suggested I contact Sony for an answer. I got this back from Sony on the issue. Thanks for contacting Xperia support by Sony.Let me give you the welcome to our Email Support line, my name is Valentina and I am going to assist you this time. I know you must really need to use the VoWiFi feature and how important it must be for you. The Sony Mobile Xperia XZ2, Xperia XZ2 Compact and Xperia XZ2 Premium models are not certified for VoLTE and VoWiFI (WiFi Calling) with T-Mobile. At present, there is no plan to certify these models with T-Mobile US. But, the T-Mobile lady I was talking with is sending me a signal booster for free. Hopefully that'll solve my low/no signal in my house and I can receive SMS and phone calls when they are sent etc. I would have never thought this wouldn't be included on a newer phone, but there you have it. Can someone from T-Mobile pass this on
MMS sent photo quality is terrible
I have a Galaxy J7, Unlimited plan, sending MMS over the network with all the default settings (checked them all yesterday) When I send a picture or pictures as MMS to anyone else regardless of their phone or network, it gets reduced from X MB to about 85 - 175kb. I can see exactly what they are seeing, by looking in my Sent folder. I have to email the pictures or videos to people every single time which is an absolute joke and not able to do this reliably (I don't even have all my contacts email addresses and would take ages to send messages this way, but I've been doing it a few times because I'm forced to.) 85k isn't even web quality, Facebook probably reduces my pictures posted around a few hundred Kb. This is much worse. When anyone sends me an MMS with a picture it's crystal clear. On my phone, any pix you've sent unless it's a close up, if you try to look at fine details or zoom in anyone's face it's all jagged or blurry.
Sprint Galaxy S7 on T-Mobile
I have a Sprint Galaxy S7 and am looking to switch to T-mobile. The device is domestic SIM unlocked.Reading other forums from 2 years ago it would appear at that time there were some issues getting Sprint S7's to work on T-Mobile network. Another complication was because Sprint and T-mobile used different version bootloaders it was impossible to flash T-mobile's firmware onto the Sprint S7. I'm aware that without flashing T-mobile firmware that Wifi Calling and VOLTE probably won't work, which if everything else worked fine would probably be OK.For anyone who has tried to activate a Sprint S7 on T-mobile recently, were you able to get the device working? Did everything (voice/data/MMS/reception) work well minus Wifi Calling and VOLTE?Also, now that T-mobile and Sprint use the same version bootloader, has anyone flashed the latest T-mobile S7 Firmware on the Sprint S7? If so, did this work OK and does it now fully work on T-mobile? Anyone happen to know if flashing T-mobile firmwar

My Tips on Phone Maintenance
For Android & T-Mobile users,Phones today are getting more expensive and the average user lifetime is under 3 years. If you're paying $700+ for a phone, I would want to get every penny worth of it.These are just a few suggestions that I think a lot of people should do, and most don't, but it'll keep your phone running smoothly.1. Check for Software and App Updates daily:To keep up with Security software, keeping up to date on the latest software of all applications and software is highly recommended. Bugs and performance enhancements are pretty much embedded in updates.2. Restart and/or turn off your phone then power on Daily:This refreshes your network connection, is beneficial for the CPU and keeps apps running smooth. I recommend restarting both your computer and phone after any installation or update.3. Clear the cache and junk:Samsung phones have Device Maintenance which is a very helpful app. You want to be able to keep your phone at 100, and it's easily done. LG has a simila
Buying an unlocked device:
Hello,I was thinking of buying an Unlocked Galaxy s9 on the Samsung website, and then replacing it with my current phone on the T-mobile line. However, Im unsure of how exactly it will work, and If there is no problem with that, will my phone number still stay the same? Thanks in advance
Why is my lte slower than my 4g?!
Hello everyone! Here's my story, so I received a message saying I was about to hit 28 gb of usage and that my data speeds would be reduced until the next billing cycle. I did go over 28gigs and was throttled as promised by T-Mobile.. Now here's the problem, after my billing cycle ended, my lte speed remained miserably slow! I get less than 1mbps most of the time! When I turn off lte and it's on 4g, I get a minimum of 5-9mbps. Ive contacted T-Mobile a few times and they even opened support tickets so the engineers can look at it and both times they said my line is fine with the provisioning and everything. I don't think it's my phone... anyone have this issue? I'm on an iPhone 6s.and have not have this problem at all before. Thanks for reading my rant... this has gone on for almost two months now and it's really frustrating!
Alcatel hotspot stops recognizing USB cables, can't charge, how to fix?
My Alcatel hotspot has suddenly stopped recognizing any of the USB cables that I plug in to try to charge the device, except for one cable. I used to be able to use any of the half-dozen USB cables that fit, but now none of them carry signal or power, and my charge will run out soon. How can I fix this? I tried the full hardware reset, I tried removing the battery, the last thing I haven't tried is removing the SIM card but I doubt that would make any difference.Suggestions welcome and appreciated!
Ready to upgrade, and my phone cracked :( Best option?
So, after taking good care of my LG G6 for two years, and finally paying it off, I was looking to upgrade my phone. I was making my bed, and the phone, in a case, slipped out of my pocket and took a slight drop, two feet or less. It wasn't until later that I realized the top portion of the screen had a crack. Otherwise, the phone is still functional. Here's where I find myself in a pickle. I have a protection plan, but do I really want to pay $100 for a refurbished phone when I was ready to upgrade to a new one? Would I still be able to trade in the G6 for a new phone despite the cosmetic damage? I'm trying to figure out the best option. Paying 100 bucks for a phone just to get rid of it sort of feels like hemorrhaging money. I've already given T-Mobile tons of money for these protection plans over the years, including one time when UPS lost a damaged phone, and I was forced to pay T-Mo an additional $300. Ugh, what to do? Is there a Mercury Retrograde forgiveness program?
LG V30 Oreo broke bluetooth audio
After updating to Oreo via the OTA release, bluetooth audio now skips/stutters constantly. Before the update it never skipped at all. Anyone else experiencing this yet? Hardware/Software info: LG V30 LG-H932 Rev.1.0 from T-mobile. Android v 8.0.0, 4.4.78 kernel, h93320h software. The only bluetooth audio device that I use it with (so the only I've tested with so far) is my vehicles Pioneer AVH-X2600BT head unit.
How to turn off chat in text messages on my LG G6
Some of our text messages are sent as chats instead of text messages. Because of that, call blocking via family allowances doesn't block if it goes through as a chat. Is there anyway to turn off the chat feature? And no, blocking the number itself on the phone is not an option because that can be removed by the user unlike family allowances which let's me control it. Thanks!
Samsung Galaxy S9 - Android Pie - Missing GIF Keyboard
After updating my Galaxy S9 to Android Pie, I am no longer able to send GIF's from the native Samsung Messaging app. Is this a bug, or has the feature been deprecated? It would really suck having to download another keyboard just for GIF's. Usually, the GIF option pops up to the right of the Samsung stickers, but that option is no longer available.
Dead LG G6 stuck in bootloop
Hello,I have an LG G6 (ThinQ) I got just over a year ago (so no more warranty) that has all of a sudden stopped working. Everything was business as normal until my phone randomly turned itself off. It turned back on for a bit, but soon turned off again while I was using it. The third time it booted up, it got stuck in a bootloop. Eventually, after a while in this loop, my phone died. I am charging it now, but it's at 0%. Every single time the phone has the slightest bit of battery, it turns on to try and continue the loop, leading to the screen continuously saying more charge is needed to bootup the device. I have no way of stopping it or anything. I'm a college student and I need my phone for alarms, to check my emails, to check the time so I get to class early, and to message people I'm meeting up with. I need this fixed soon. I haven't even finished paying it off yet and I don't have the kind of money to be spending on anything else. If anyone could please help I would greatly appre
Cat Phone S61 Issues
So I'm coming from AT&T and wanted to see if T-Mobile was a better carrier. I bought a Cat Phone S61, latest flagship rugged phone from this company, that supports all of the frequencies of T-Mobile in the USA (Except LTE 71 600Mhz) and supposedly VoLTE and WifiCalling. I've been round and round with both AT&T and T-Mobile as well as Cat Phone support and I've gotten nowhere. On the phone with my T-Mobile SIM at the 4636 Phone menu, the option to enable VoLTE (VoLTE Provisioned) is both turned off and disabled. If I put in an AT&T sim card they are not disabled. I tried putting my T-Mobile sim in a Galaxy S7 Active (Unlocked) and was able to enable VoLTE and Wifi Calling, but putting the SIM in the Cat S61 they are disabled. Any thoughts, suggestions? I've asked advanced technical support at both AT&T and T-Mobile (I want to go with T-Mobile), but they seem to be stumped or don't care. I've contact Cat Phone support and they said "we'll get back to you".
LG K20 Plus excessive battery drain even when idle
My LG K20 Plus drains at about 0.36% per minute, so the battery only lasts 4-6 hours on standby. What could be wrong? Here's what I tried:Bought a new battery which successfully charges to 100%.Did a factory data reset. So there's no suspicious apps.Turned on airplane mode. So it can't be cell-signal related.Turned off location. So it can't be GPS related.Turned of sync. So it isn't background syncing.I don't use the phone at all, so the problem can't be use related.Restarted.The phone does feel hot near the top back even though I'm not using it. So much stuff is disabled and there's basically nothing on the phone, but it still drains at a very fast rate. What can be done? Thanks.
