Trying to figure out a solution to the no bridge-mode\no port forwarding in T-Mobile’s dumbed down appliance.A pfSense firewall will port forward so I can get Plex and ChannelsDVR among other things from outside the network. This solves the bridge mode and port forward problem. It also does DHCP and NAT. Add to that my Google Mesh WiFi system (5 units.) So what I’m looking at is T-Mobile appliance>pfSense appliance>Google Router. Only now I’ve got triple NAT (disaster) unless I put the Google in Bridge mode. But then I’m pretty sure the mesh won’t work. Anyone using pfSense with a mesh system? I know I could try ZeroTier but really like the capabilities of pfSense. It can really improve the network in addition to some good protection.
New to T-mobile home (currently in the trial period) and have found this community very helpful. I'm really interested to know if people are experiencing intermittent connection failure. Wi-fi is strong in the house, but the internet won't connect for a few seconds at a time and it feels pretty random. I have the latest Arcadyan router and live in New York City. I’m cooking at 5 bars (excellent) and there is actually a T-Mobile store on the street level of my building. I’ve set up a script to ping google and notice that it cuts out randomly sometimes for 3-10 seconds. I’m not sure if that is a good way to test, but I’ve attached a screenshot of how the outage was recorded: https://ibb.co/x37gQpJ. I had the script running in the background when I noticed a page hanging on load. I immediate did a (google) speed test and saw that it couldn’t establish a connection to the server. All the while, I had 5bar and full a full wifi signal. I’ve even had my sim card replaced at the t-mobile store
hi all, had my kvd21 on since receiving about 25 days ago. Monday got my first “SIM error detected… SIM002” message. Powered unit off for 3 minutes and it returned to service- no issues. now 3 days later the error’s returned.Called CC and they wanted me to look at the SIM. WOW, it appeared it was not locked in place. I usually will give a best-shot fix before picking up the phone but with SIMs and the new device I thought Shirley it’s something bad. But not in this case. hthtia, parker
When I decided to try the Home Internet offering in May, I half expected to end service after the trial period. To my delight, the setup of the Gateway device was straightforward and super simple! My other devices easily connect to its consistently fast and steady WiFi. After a bit of customer service help I've received my rebate for first month of service. I've also got a rebate for price of a Roku device. What a great deal from a great customer first company!
When I first started with T-Mobile 5G home internet they sent me the Arkadyan gateway. I was unable to get my Roku TV to see the 5ghz WiFi from this gateway (could only see the 2.4ghz). So I called and the tech (expert?) I spoke to agreed that the Nokia gateway might work better so he had one sent to me. So I tried it. While the Arkadyan gateway gave me 3 bars (good internet connection) and the Nokia only gives me 2 bars (weak internet connection) the download speed seemed to be better on the Nokia. So, I sent the Arkadyan back. Shortly after that my 5G connection started dropping regularly, only a reboot usually brings it back (sometimes it doesn’t). When the 5G drops the download speed is awful. Maybe I made a mistake returning the Arkadyan? Is it possible that the “good” connection on the Arkadyan will maintain a consistent 5G connection? In the last few days I’ve spent over 2 hours on the phone with their “experts” but they don’t seem to be able to send me back an Arkadyan gateway!
I've had the Tmobile home internet now for about 6 months and have loved it! Well until they "updated" our towers and before I only used it to play xbox with and kept good speeds of 150 mbps of download and 15 mbps of upload and stayed around 60-75ms on latency now my speeds are 245 mpbs of download and 15-30 mbps of upload but my ping is 150-165 and that's causing a terrible lag 😭 I've tried almost everything I'd read and nothing works.
I’ve had this service since Jan with no problems. Lately I’ve had issues with videos just stop loading on every machine in the house no matter pc or mac, tablets the kids have gamed on just fine drop connection but will allow them to instantly connect back again but it’s a never ending cycle. This just recently started to happen,It just happens even on my main pc gaming. I’ve called support and they sent me a new cylinder but that did not fix my problem. I have a new gateway from tmobile and have been using it to access the internet for two weeks.several times i was unable to get any response from the app when i launch it, also tried to look at the net signal strength from my browser using 192.168.12.1 and most recently when streaming youtube tv it said that i cannot access my local channels. Each time i have had a “glitch” i have to power off and on the gateway(router) box for things to function again..since i have only had this for 2 weeks i am wondering if this is normal (hope not) for a cellular based internet device vs my old cable modem router method? I really wanted to “cut” the cord and am hoping tmobile is the way to go but having to power cycle nearly everyday is not what i want.
I switched to 5G home internet a couple of months ago and it was working great. I live at north Seattle area it’s always been 3-4 bars for the signals. since Monday 6/13/22 I was having intermittent connection issues but I thought maybe network probably had some problems and people were working on it. Strangely! I simply got disconnected the very next day and even I connected! The internet service is no longer t-mobile. I meant normally I would pull out the “speed test” app and it shows the origin of where my internet connects to. These two days! My internet is no longer at t-mobile, but origin were either whitesky communication LLC or netprotect. I am very concerned what’s going on. Both of my phone and 5G home internet literally useless. At best connect I have where is one bar of 4G LTE on my iPhone whenever it feels like to connect. Normally I get 5 bars at LTE service at home. Somehow I simply don’t get anything useful now! Does anyone knows there is a website to keep track o
