HP Printer Wireless Set up Issue
Since setting up my 5g home internet device, I am not able to connect my HP Photosmart C4599 wireless printer to it. I reinstalled it on my home computer which connects to the modem with ethernet cable. I currently have the printer set up using cable connected to home computer, but when I try to configure it over wireless, I am not able to complete the set up. I get to the point where I select my SSID and put in my password so that is all working, but then after that it fails for “MAC Address Filtering may be enabled on your wireless router which can prevent your HP printer from connecting to your wireless network during setup. Temporarily disable MAC address filtering on your wireless router.” I got into the router using the admin user/password but don’t see an advanced option for disabling MAC address filtering. Is there a way to do this or what other options do I have? Thanks for your help!
changing individual channels within 2.4 or 5
I have the Sagemon FAST 5688W 5G Gateway. I purchased a Netgear range extender to use with this gateway. While working with the support team of Netgear, they suggested changing the 5ghz channel from ch 44 to ch 48. I can’t find access to the gateway to get this accomplished. Does anybody know how this can be done?
Sagemcom Fast 5688W Gateway keeps turning off and on again
Hi! I need some help because my Sagemcom Fast 5688W Gateway keeps turning off and on again. When it’s on, it works just fine, but then my device disconnects and when I look over to my modem it’s rebooting for no reason. It’s happening at different times throughout the day so it’s not due to the nighttime updates. I changed which outlet it was plugged into thinking maybe there was a short, but it’s still doing it. Really frustrated because if it wasn’t for the modem rebooting randomly throughout the day, I would have no complaints.
Home Internet Gaming Problem
I recently started test driving T-Mobile home internet at my house, and it's worked great for everything except games, where I'm having a weird issue with some of them. When I try to play Apex Legends on PC, the game will connect and play really smooth for anywhere from 1-3 minutes, and then all communication will be lost, which will take 20 seconds for the game to kick me out to the main menu. If I go back into the game from the main menu, it'll work fine untill the 1-3 minutes elapses. During all of this my PC never loses connection, and this issue occurs over wifi and ethernet. This issue probably does not lie with the game as this issue does not occur with other ISPs, and it did not coincide with an update. A similar issue is happening with Splatoon 3 on the Nintendo Switch, where the game will play superb for 30 seconds to 2 minutes before dropping the connection. Is this a known issue with the service or gateway, is there anyway I can debug my connection, and does anyone know an
printer connected to wifi but not showing on devices to print
I Connected my brother printer to the KVD model and it does not show as connected on any devices. I ran a network configuration on my printer and it reports I am connected to my ssid and the link is ok 11n(72mbs. Why am I unable to retrieve the printer on my connected devices? Moreso, what is the fix?
Tmobile Home Internet with Tmobile Cellspot
Hey,so two days ago I received my tmobile home internet gateway router and it works great with one issue I have not been able to overcome which is I also have the cellspot for expanding coverage in my house as there is hardly any to no signal within the house to use our phones. We have wifi calling and everything enabled and it just didn't work at all, but the cellspot worked great. The issue is the cellspot transmits a tmobile radio signal and my home internet wants to connect to the cellspot because it is the strongest signal it can pick up and obviously that wont work because the cellspot is connected to the home internet gateway router. So is there a way to blacklist or block the home gateway router from using the cellspot signal and to connect to the cell towers instead? With the cellspot off the home internet gateway router works great with awesome speeds, as soon as I plug in the cellspot I get nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Internet worked fine until 9:30 AM today. What gives?
So I have the T-mobile 5G Gateway. I usually have around 4 bars on the Gateway. But after waking up around 9 or so, suddenly the connection became unstable. It went to 2 bars and I’m not getting the connection or speed I’ve been getting since I purchased the device in January. Are they working on the Towers or something? I need help here.
Gateway device renamed itself
I didnt see my Tmobile internet name on network scan but I saw another tmobile name that was different but I verified it was my gateway. Why did it rename itself with a different password? I revised with the old password and changed the gateway name and we’re back to normal but can someone explained what happened?
How to Connect to a Consumer VPN on T-Mobile Home Internet (5G Nokia Gateway)
I am NOT paid or endorsed by any VPN company or anyone else to make this post. This is simply what works for me and my particular VPN client. I am using the Nokia 5G grey tube router, and I’ve seen a few posts complaining that they can’t use a VPN with it. Also special thanks to the T-Mobile rep who advised me on some of this when I got the service. If you’re using PIA (and this may apply to your VPN as well), click the 3 dots, go to your settings, and do the following under the Connection tab:Make sure your protocol is OpenVPN Change your connection type to TCP Change your configuration method to StaticAfter this, close the settings, and reconnect to your VPN. If using other software, make sure to save your settings if it does not automatically do so. It may take 1-5 minutes for your IP to change to your VPN. After this, google “what is my ip” and make sure it matches with your VPN. In my case, it took about 2 minutes for my IP to completely change over, even after my VPN client connec
Home Internet router loses connection about every 5 days
Hi,My TMobile home internet quits working about once every 5 days. Shutting the router down, wating a minute, then restarting always fixes the problem. I have a good connect with 3 bars showing on the router. Not sure is there are multiple models, but this is a 5G router. Support hasn’t had any ideas. TMobile support says this is not normal but they refuse to send me a replacement router.Anyone else have this issue? I’m ready to go back to Comcast/Xfinity.
I have an older Windows 10 Home laptop that I have been using on my TMobile 5G Gateway for almost a year now. About 2 weeks ago I started having windows blue screen crashes, so i went through many phases of windows troubleshooting including a complete reinstall of windows. Everything is great until I try to connect to the gateway--then I get the same crash that started all of this. I can connect to my Mobile Hotspot on my Verizon phone and on my husband's Verizon phone, but crash when trying to connect to the TMobile. All of my other Devices ( Windows 10 Desktop, Windows 11 Desktop, peinter, and other home devices) are fine. Any help would be appreciated.
PHONE OR NO PHONE? THAT IS MY HOME INTERNET QUESTION
I have T-Mobile home internet and my gateway has a port to plug a home phone into. The customer service agent told me I could plug a home phone into that port and use the phone number of my gateway to make and receive calls, but when I try it, the phone doesn’t work. Can somebody please explain to me why the customer service agent would tell me that?
