has anyone else been scammed by T-Mobile?

Hello, fellow T-Mobile customers. I am merely writing this with the hope that someone at T-Mobile will read it and FINALLY, after SEVEN months of headaches, fix and properly bill me. In December of 2022 I turned in my iPhone XR in exchange for the iPhone 14 and added a line because T-Mobile was running an $800 off the new phone promo. I handed my phone over to an associate in the store. Well, we are coming up on July 2023 and every month I have to waste my time fighting to have my bill corrected because every month T-Mobile does not apply the promo (bill credits.) Every month whomever helps me promises that they have updated and fixed the error, but the next month it is the same old story. At some point I was told that they never received my trade-in, which is absurd because it was not lost in the mail or something. I handed it over in the store! So, did the associate pocket my trade-in?? I was told they would investigate and follow up with me. I never received a follow-up, and then I

Iphone Hotspot

Iphone hotspot will not connect to my macbook pro. I can connect to the Ipad no problems. Another phone on my plan has the same problem, different iphone and different macbook but same issue. TMO plan has hotspot. Thanks for the help.

app says their messages on the gateway, but the gateway says there are none

*App says THERE ARE!!*So I'm having all sorts of trouble with stuff right now. New customer. The gateway seems to be working fine as a matter of fact it was giving us internet before that it was ever set up or anything with an app. I was explaining the to the lady who helped me set it up but she didn't seem to understand that I was telling her we had already had internet with that box giving us the the T-Mobile ID to connect to before it was ever set up and the first place. However, over the last week or so we've had nothing but trouble even getting it to keep a connection. When you would try to log on it would say connection failure and restarting the box and all the other troubleshooting tips didn't work. Is this common? And also, I don't have phone service through T-Mobile I just have the internet through T-Mobile. However when I log into the T-Life app, it says that I have messages. I've looked at the gateway and it shows none. When I'm in the app there's no way to access the messa

GlobalProtect VPN not working with T-Mobile

I have seen several posts about VPNs not working with T-Mobile Home Internet. What is T-Mobile's plan to address this? I contacted my corporate IT department and they said it's not their VPN. All works fine on my old ATT home internet and Verizon Hotspot (work cell). Maybe I should drop T-Mobile Home Internet and go back to ATT.

Warning

Do not purchase Tmobile home internet. I switched from Spectrum because I was sold on more reliable, faster service. I have had it one week, and that's all it took for me to recognize that T-Mobile is hawking snake oil. This is, hands down and without doubt, the worst, slowest, most unreliable internet service I have ever had the misfortune of experiencing. Everyone at Tmobile ought to be ashamed to even work there and call this internet. In 2024, charging people for speeds this slow are absolutely unconscionable. I work from home and require a reliable serivce, and every day this week, it takes five minutes or more on occasion to attach a PDF file. I'm switching back as soon as humanly possible, and will spend every waking moment for the rest of my existence telling anyone and everyone who will listen that using their money as toilet paper is a wiser and more efficient use of said money than giving it to these con artists.

Unable to use T-Mobile Home Internet with work VPN, any suggestions?

I’ve recently been told by work Information Services that I cannot use my work laptop with T-Mobile Home Internet.   Here is there response to my support request. T-Mobile's primary service called "5G Broadband" is not true wire-to-site broadband.  While Cisco AnyConnect can work over 5G and other wireless connections, MTS does not recommend its usage unless absolutely necessary, and if you utilize a phone line such as Cisco Jabber call quality cannot be guaranteed.The issue is that while 5G can provide broadband level speeds and bandwidth wireless solutions, such as 5G, have a higher tolerance for "packet loss."  Packet loss is when individual pieces of data are dropped/lost during transmission.  For most applications this is a minimal issue that 5G speeds may render unnoticeable, but a live connection, such as the AnyConnect VPN or Voice Over IP phone services, will experience connection degradation or be completely disconnected forcing you to reconnect.This is not an issue MTS can m

G4Se Problem with LAN port speed.

I just bought my Wifi Home from T-Mobile. I got the G4SE modem. Everything works well, I only have one drawback: I have my own network with my router and when I connect to the interface via LAN, my router receives about a third of the speed I get by connecting my phone to the G4SE modem wifi.  My question is whether this happens to anyone else. Are LAN ports limited in speed? I have good coverage and the wifi is fast, but any LAN-connected device gets noticeable bad speed, whether it's PC or router.

If you have T-Mobile Home Internet and you travel to another location, can you bring the gateway with you? If there is a signal it should connect, right?

G4SE Admin login

Why can I not login to the G4SE gatway with the username (admin) and password listed on the device?  All I get is an info page that showes the status.  I would like to change the wifi name and password.  I was also under the impression I could manage the gateway with the TMobile app.  It just shows the status also and does not allow for any management options.  Am I missing something?

T-Mo Nokia 5G21 Internet Gateway for Hulu or YouTube LIve TV Home Network

Hello,I am looking for some current information about using my T-Mo Nokia 5G21 Gateway device with an unlimited  internet account to stream Hulu+ Live TV. I have read about the need for a Home network, and since that device is not going to be used anywhere but in my home, I am concerned about the possible changing IP address that may make it look like the device is in a different place than my home.I know that it says that the location is used to provide the local TV channels - networks that I can get on my antenna, so I am not too concerned that the device may connect to a different part of the state and have a different set of local channels.What I am concerned about is that if the IP address changes, will the device still work? I wondered if anyone here had any experience recently with this type of device and one of the live TV streaming services?Or is there a range of area - say IP addresses that are perhaps 100 or 200 miles from where I am that might still be considered “Local”?Or

Change Password and Name of Home Network

I just got T-Mobile internet and after connecting it all up I want to change the factory given password as well as the name that shows up as my network. Using the I.P. address hasn’t worked. Customer service chat said to go to the “network” page but didnt’ say where that was. I have looked through out the website and app and cannot find where I can login as an admin to make this simple change. I did happen upon a T-Mobile page that said by clicking “here” I would be able to do this, but it’s just a page that shows I’m connected. I just made this switch for internet and I”m wondering if I made a mistake…I have a Gateway Modem, White, stands up...

UPnP not successful on Xbox Series S

Ever since I switched to the BYOD-Router internet gateway I haven’t been able to stay in party chats. Everything else works perfectly fine no connectivity issues on my laptop, phone, or TVs but as soon as I join an Xbox live party it’s fine for a couple seconds then I lose connection. Game chat works fine. My NAT is moderate but it used to be open. Also my xbox is saying UPnP not successful. I logged into my router but there doesn’t seem to be any configurable network settings. Anyone know how to enable UPnP?

Why is my connection ALWAYS "weak"?

I've loved my mobile service so when I was able to sign up for home internet I jumped on it... but the speed is consistently abysmal, no matter what I do. Maddening and disappointing. I live in a big city and have no problem with the phone service. The photo here is on a GOOD day. What gives?? Do better, T Mobile!

Router Won't Connect to Online Play for Nintendo Switch

Hello everyone! I am in desperate need of help. I recently bought a Nintendo Switch and am trying to access online play. I always get an error message when I try to access online play. The error typically says something about my NAT type causing the issue. My T-Mobile router (Arcadyan KVD21) seems to have NAT type B. I was told that I could just access my router settings on my computer and enable UPnP. However, when I type in my IP address I do not see any router settings to change. All I see is connection status/quality and some gateway information. Basically all I see is exactly what is in the T-mobile home internet app. Does anyone know how to fix this issue? Should I just get rid of T-Mobile home internet and get something else if I want to play games online?

Are there fees for removal of my 5G Internet line?

I am moving where I will have access to free Wi-Fi and I will no longer need my T-Mobile internet service and gateway. What will be the consequences of removing the line? I will keep my phone line and obviously continue to pay off my phone and Bluetooth Pill. Thank You.

5G Internet Showing Incorrect Location

Recently installed 5G home internet and it won’t give me the correct location. Google Maps has no idea where I’m at but more importantly my local channels on FuboTV are not showing up anymore. How do I set the location on my 5G Gateway?

T-Mobile Internet - $200 Pre-Paid Mastercard - STILL WAITING

I switched to T-Mobile Internet over 3 months ago. The $200 Pre-paid Mastercard within 10 weeks was an incentive that led to me making this choice.  It has been 12 weeks and I have not heard a thing.  Has anyone had a similar experience?  I am preparing to switch back to my previous provider if this is how they treat customers.

why is the internet down?

My router has signal but does not have internet. Everything in the house has lost internet. I have rebooted to router and it connects and says the signal is good. Everything says it has connection to the router but still no Internet all of a sudden Also, how do we get help from the actual company we pay for service? Is this really their "tech support" just leave us to answer each other's problems and not pitch in to help the people they charge $$ every month?
