Home Internet Gaming Problem
I recently started test driving T-Mobile home internet at my house, and it's worked great for everything except games, where I'm having a weird issue with some of them. When I try to play Apex Legends on PC, the game will connect and play really smooth for anywhere from 1-3 minutes, and then all communication will be lost, which will take 20 seconds for the game to kick me out to the main menu. If I go back into the game from the main menu, it'll work fine untill the 1-3 minutes elapses. During all of this my PC never loses connection, and this issue occurs over wifi and ethernet. This issue probably does not lie with the game as this issue does not occur with other ISPs, and it did not coincide with an update. A similar issue is happening with Splatoon 3 on the Nintendo Switch, where the game will play superb for 30 seconds to 2 minutes before dropping the connection. Is this a known issue with the service or gateway, is there anyway I can debug my connection, and does anyone know an
Mesh Wi-Fi 6 System
On the new grey 5G home internet box, when you connect to its web page (typically http://192.168.12.1/), on the Overview screen, under the Devices panel, one of the items listed is “Mesh Wi-Fi 6 System”, just above “Wireless” and “Ethenet”. This implies a third way of networking devices (it currently says 0 connected). I have a Deco Wi-Fi 6 mesh router and was wondering if they could be interconnected by something other than an ethnet cable. Is this something that is currently implemented or is it just a planned feature for a future expansion? On their product page (https://www.t-mobile.com/isp/gateway) where it lists device features, it also says “Mesh expandable Yes”, but I haven’t found any details about this in the documentation.
Home Internet Gateway Needs Reboot Multiple Times Daily, Internet Access Dropping
Multiple times on most days, at no particular time of day, internet access stops working. Devices can still connect to the WiFi network, but there is no internet access on WiFi or wired until the device gets turned off and back on. In rare cases it might work itself out within a matter of hours, for example if I am not home to reboot it. It has been like this the entire time I’ve had it, and it causes parts of my security system not to work, as well as stops my crypto mining that my PC does when I’m not using it, therefore actively costing me money when I’m not home to babysit the gateway (eg, at work).I really, really want to stick with T-Mo but I’ll have to sign up with the local cable monopoly if uptime is this bad.
Is anyone else having problems with a changing IP address?
I’ve had the Home Internet service for 3 months now and I’m generally happy with it, but one thing is rather annoying. The external IP address that gets assigned to my gateway keeps changing. This has two side effects. Web sites for CCs, banks, etc remember the IP address that you last used to connect and if it changes, they will require additional verification. The other problem is with streaming TV services. The local broadcasts that I’m allowed to watch will depend on where they think that I’m located. My estimated location usually depends on my IP address and in the last month this has changed 4 times! My IP address location has changed from Kansas to Oklahoma, to Texas and today it thinks I’m on Ohio!
IP Location issue
So apparently I cannot connect to sites that need to verify your location because my new tmobile internet service shows me as being located in a State that is different from my actual location.Been on hold for 50 mins to speak to someone, not sure if I will get anyone tonight and this is not looking good for customer service support that you don’t have a different number specifically for tech issues like this.
Can't connect Google Mini to T-Mobile Home Internet
I've tried every recommendation in the book restarting the "T-Mobile" device, the mini. It will go through the entire process of adding the device and at the very end, after it's verified the connection, it suddenly says it can't connect to the network and fails the addition.
HP Printer Wireless Set up Issue
Since setting up my 5g home internet device, I am not able to connect my HP Photosmart C4599 wireless printer to it. I reinstalled it on my home computer which connects to the modem with ethernet cable. I currently have the printer set up using cable connected to home computer, but when I try to configure it over wireless, I am not able to complete the set up. I get to the point where I select my SSID and put in my password so that is all working, but then after that it fails for “MAC Address Filtering may be enabled on your wireless router which can prevent your HP printer from connecting to your wireless network during setup. Temporarily disable MAC address filtering on your wireless router.” I got into the router using the admin user/password but don’t see an advanced option for disabling MAC address filtering. Is there a way to do this or what other options do I have? Thanks for your help!
ITS TIME TO SUE T-MOBILE BAD INTERNET SERVICE

Using the TMobile ISP Box sim in a Netgear LB1120
I have the unlimited TMobile ISP internet modem, and it works ok, but it has limitations that I can solve by using a different modem. The TMobile ISP box does NOT have a bridge mode and it does NOT have external ports for external antennas. For those of us in rural areas this means we get maybe 1 bar of service. The NO bridge mode means I either intend to let the TMobile modem be a router as well as a modem, and I don’t like this idea for several reasons: 1) The firewall sucks. 2) no masquerade 3) No detail configurable firewall with subnets, 4) No embedded GPS for location & 5) the 2.4 & 5 Mhz Wifi is not powerful enough to reach the far corners of the home and those emitters interfere with the cellular signal at 1 bar, making upload speeds suck for a Plex server. So I prefer my Mikrotik router, and my Mikrotik AP’s stanmding alone on the network - which means I need the TMobile ISP modem to be in bridge mode, (but they don’t have a bridge mode) or I’ll encounter a double
Anyone else had FTP problems using Hone Internet?
I am testing T-M Home Internet and although it has Ben generally good so far, I just ran into a problem when I attempted a routine FTP upload using CyberDuck to a website I maintain. When I try to connect I get an Interoperability Failure message. My ISP says the website is fine and they are able to FTP to it and it t seems I have some kind of communication or network problem. What are other people’s experiences doing FTP on T-M Home Internet?
Canon printer will not connect to T-Mobile 5G Gateway home internet
I have the Arcadyan KVD21 Gateway and a Canon PIXMA TR4520 printer. I have tried multiple methods to connect the printer to the T-Mobile wifi network and am still unsuccessful. Currently, I am attempting setup using the Canon Wi-Fi Connection Assistant. In Network Settings, the T-Mobile network encryption type shows up as Do Not Use. Is there a way to change the encryption type on the network? Would that enable the printer to access the T-Mobile wifi? Any and all suggestion welcome. I have tried T-Mobile tech support, but they cannot help, saying it's a printer issue.
Tmobile Home Internet with Tmobile Cellspot
Hey,so two days ago I received my tmobile home internet gateway router and it works great with one issue I have not been able to overcome which is I also have the cellspot for expanding coverage in my house as there is hardly any to no signal within the house to use our phones. We have wifi calling and everything enabled and it just didn't work at all, but the cellspot worked great. The issue is the cellspot transmits a tmobile radio signal and my home internet wants to connect to the cellspot because it is the strongest signal it can pick up and obviously that wont work because the cellspot is connected to the home internet gateway router. So is there a way to blacklist or block the home gateway router from using the cellspot signal and to connect to the cell towers instead? With the cellspot off the home internet gateway router works great with awesome speeds, as soon as I plug in the cellspot I get nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Can someone help me out. Can anyone refer me to what kind of wifi extender I should be looking for. Sorry. Not very computer literate much less wifi. I was looking at the eero mesh wifi router on Amazon, but before I spend that much money on something I want to make sure it would work with TMobiles wifi. Cannot find any info about this eero mesh. Any help or suggestions for other systems is greatly appreciated.
I'm switching from Xfinity and still have both network but my windows 11 laptop says can't use T-Mobile WiFi
I'm switching from Xfinity and still have both network but my windows 11 laptop says can't use T-Mobile WiFi when i select it and connect, try to. Unsure what windows troubleshooting I need to do but it's odd and must be a unique issue since I've not seen it on the board.
Home Internet Goes Out Every Couple of Hours
I switched my home internet to Tmobile last June and haven't any issues until this week. My internet keeps going out every couple of hours. Turning the tmobile router on and off temporarily fixes the issue only for it to happen again sometimes in less than a half hour. When it does this I can connect to my wifi network but it doesn't have internet connection if that means anything specific. My signal strength on the home internet app always shows Very Good or Excellent. Does it matter that I got a new Sony TV last week? Sometimes it's on only the 2.4 ghz that stops and the 5ghz will still work sometimes it's both. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Any Solution to the Printer connection problems with T-Mobile Gateways?
Installed my Arcadyan KYD21 Router last Friday, and everything works fine except that I cannot get my HP 8600 printer connected. Been through multiple conversations with support, and tried everything including using the admin settings to separate the 2.4G and 5G gateways, plus reinstalling and resetting the printer. Still cannot connect. Looks like either the gateway is filtering, or the printer cannot use “b/g” with no way to change to “n” on the gateway, nor is there anyway to manually add the printer IP address. Router and printer are too far apart to use an ethernet or usb-c connection. T-Mobile tech support says the gateway is working as it should and it’s not a problem at their end. Unless there is a solution within the next week (15 day free trial) Its -back in the box and cancel the service. I have to be able to connect a printer. Anyone have any other ideas?
Tmobile 5g home internet + Xbox Series X not compatible
Thanks to T-Mobile’s Test Drive, I can try out the home internet for 15days. I’m getting good speeds and so far so good… I was really happy with the service until………It’s not compatible with my Xbox Series X. Apps like YouTube, Twitch, Hulu all work. But if I want to play games online, that’s where it doesnt work. I get disconnected from the games respective servers. Doing a test on the network I get UPnP unavailable. I can retest until the UPnP is available but as soon as I start playing a game online, it disconnects. I see that I can attempt to connect a wireless router but I cannot control any settings on the App or if I log into router via a web browser. The only thing I can do is change names and passwords, but nothing else. Can a wireless router be connected to the gateway? If so, which brands will work best? There are other posts about this issue but no answer. I hope there is a solution or else the home internet goes back to T-Mobile and they will lose out on $50/month.
Cannot Reliably Connect Devices Home Internet
I just got T-Mobile Home Internet and while the speeds are great and very consistent, the internet service is not very robust. I have the 5G Grey Cylindrical router. If I try and connect Samsung TVs or my Directv box to the network, either by Wifi or wired ethernet, it often won’t connect. When the devices do connect they are unreliable. Most streaming services won’t work. The connection to the router is fine, but the connection from the T-Mobile end to the internet often just hangs. The same is true on my PC or Tablets. It all appears to work well but it’s very prone to just hanging one process as if its trying to open a connection that will never open. A good example of this is uploading videos to facebook, this almost always hangs. It never begins the upload although other processes can use the internet fine at the same time. It can USUALLY upload ok to Vimeo or Youtube but these also periodically just stall. It’s very flakey and unreliable internet. This is with wired
How to Connect to a Consumer VPN on T-Mobile Home Internet (5G Nokia Gateway)
I am NOT paid or endorsed by any VPN company or anyone else to make this post. This is simply what works for me and my particular VPN client. I am using the Nokia 5G grey tube router, and I’ve seen a few posts complaining that they can’t use a VPN with it. Also special thanks to the T-Mobile rep who advised me on some of this when I got the service. If you’re using PIA (and this may apply to your VPN as well), click the 3 dots, go to your settings, and do the following under the Connection tab:Make sure your protocol is OpenVPN Change your connection type to TCP Change your configuration method to StaticAfter this, close the settings, and reconnect to your VPN. If using other software, make sure to save your settings if it does not automatically do so. It may take 1-5 minutes for your IP to change to your VPN. After this, google “what is my ip” and make sure it matches with your VPN. In my case, it took about 2 minutes for my IP to completely change over, even after my VPN client connec
