I've had the Nokia router with the touchscreen top for a few months now and for a while it was great, 5 bars all the time, but about a month ago it dropped down to 2 out of nowhere. It was on the island in the kitchen so I moved it everywhere I could, high and low, next to windows and away from other devices, just like the placement assistant said, but the only place it got any better was on top of a bookcase in the corner of the house. Ever since it's had 3 bars max and it's only been about half as good in speed and quality, but today out of nowhere it dropped again but almost completely now. I moved it around, nothing. 5G, LTE, and those annoying exclamation marks will show up on my phone will my computer still says it's connected but won't load anything. I tried calling T-Mobile despite it saying it would be about a 25 minute wait but the call kept dropping along with the service at random. I've restarted it, and unplugged it, which has seemed to help a bit with the random drops, bu
Hi Everyone - I have the KVD21 and have recently (last 2-3 weeks) been experiencing high latency (>300ms to sometimes over 800ms) on my connection and very frequent internet connection drops. I thought maybe it had to do with my router, but I’ve disconnected it and only using the KVD21 wifi and the same issues are happening. I’ve called support a number of times and they just go through the normal unplug and plug it back in routine and tower upgrade speech. Has anyone else had similar issues? Any known resolutions? I’m in northern california.
I know T-Mobile doesn't sell gateways for the home internet, how that's been said let's go on.I found a seller on ebay selling, new Nok 5G21 for $90. They look like a respectable dealer, they are new with a clean IMEI, not sure if I can put a link on the board so for now I will wait.I have had the home internet since Nov 21 and for the most part have been happy with it. I have been worried about the gateway going down and having to wait days or longer for a replacement. My understanding is that we can’t go to the local T-M store and just swap it out. Also I have had good speed without adding any exterior antennas on my Trash Can, and it just seems to be getting better with time today for the first time I got over 500Mbps download but slowed up (Go figure).I know others have bought gateways off eBay for back ups, I would like to know if any of you have used the gateway you bought? Or any thoughts from anyone.I was thinking as long as it has a clean IMEI I could just remove the card a
Not really fluent in all the lingo. But if I’m on my TM HI router and go to a store, say Macy’s, the Macy’s home page thinks I'm in Boston. If I run a speed test, it only offers me servers in the Boston/Providence area. This only started in the last couple of months. If I'm in a hotel and connect my Mac all is fine and I'm located as expected. No VPNs involved, at least that I know of.TM support didn’t help at all. thanks
Why is it that I am not ALLOWED to get the firmware update for the trashcan after multiple attempts and also get told that there is no "upcoming firmware update" even though it's already been dropped. Seems ludicrous that there is an update on your website but even when requested these reps play dumb with their scripted responses.
I went on vacation and had to reset my mobile device network to be able to use the partner networks. When I came home I needed to log back into the gateway Wi-Fi, but I stored my encrypted passwords on a computer that has stopped working. So I connected to the gateway via wired on a system that has no wireless connection and tried to admin the gateway. This is not possible to do. How could they lock out admin service from a wired connection? This just seems like the programmers didn’t want the wired ports to be used. Just to clarify, I use encrypted passwords on different devices and try not to have multiple passwords for a single device on the same managers. So my admin password was available to me via the phone, but not the Wi-Fi. So I have to reset my gateway and restart the install process, reconnect all my devices and waste hours of my time when it could have been easily resolved with a better interface. What a rotten way to end a nice vacation.
Hello,I just got the Home Internet Gateway. I spoke to the internet help line several times. There are a few spots throughout my house and property where the signal is weak or no signal at all. They recommended the netgear ac2200 mesh extender. I purchased this and this did nothing to help the signal. I hooked it up correctly. Is there a better product I can purchase that can help extend the signal? Any help would be great. Thank you
