Home and Business Internet
A dedicated space to talk about all of the things going on with T-Mobile High-Speed Internet
Ever since I switched to the T-Mobile 5G Home Internet, my doorbell camera linked to my security system won’t work. I can’t connect it to my internet. ADT says that TMO is not an approved internet service. I’ve also seen comments about other services having the same issues, like Ring for example. Is TMO looking into this, and maybe working with these companies to get this resolved?
I am evaluating T-Mobile Home Internet to try to replace Comcast and I have a new T-Mobile KVD21 Arcaydyan modem. Everything on my network works fine except for Remote Desktop. I use Remote Desktop quite a bit for both connecting to a desktop computer on the same home network from other areas in my house and connecting to a desktop computer in another location outside of my local home network. I use Logmein Hamachi to create a VPN connection and the standard Windows 10 Remote Desktop application (RDP) to make a connection Logmein Hamachi is able to successfully create a VPN connection to both computers that I am trying to access but I then can’t get a Remote Desktop connectionI’ve read all the posts on this forum related to this topic and it seems to be a limitation of the T-Mobile router and there doesn’t seem to be a solution. This is an important capability to me and if I can’t get it to work, I will have to discontinue my evaluation of T-Mobile Home Internet. I have filed a tick
The fact that a lot of us are still experiencing the same issue with 5g home internet service ( connected without internet ) is disappointing. Restarting the gateway fixes the problem, but why? I do this about 10 times a day. Watching a movie is impossible. At this point I'll just start using my hotspot.
I ordered the 5G home internet on the 15th and it was supposed to arrive on the 18th. It's now a week late and about to be billed for a device I don't have. This is hindering my ability to finish school work and other business. Who do I need to contact to get a real update without wasting my data sitting on hold?
I just got this service and so far I hate to say it but I’m not impressed. I’m trying to rename the SSID to the same name my old router/modem was so I don’t have to re-setup all of my devices. Every time I do it, it says success makes me wait 90 seconds and then when I click next after the 90 seconds it says “unable to join -new SSID- network” -new SSID- is not the name I picked simply a place holder for here. It then reverts back to the default T-Mobile name. It allowed me to change the password without any issues. I’ve tried rebooting the modem and restarting my phone. Neither worked. I tried logging in on a computer at 192.168.12.1 only to find there are zero options you have to do everything from the app. any help is appreciated!
Hello,What is my best option connecting my Cat5 to the gateway or using a wireless 5G adaptor. I was thinking, I would get better speeds with my wireless 5G adaptor but no so. Normally I get around 200Mbps with Cat5 but when I switch to the wireless 5G adaptor I get around 150Mbps.Thanks,Jason
I set up our T-Mobile 5G home Internet last week with the new Arcadyan gateway. It was firmware 1.00.12.The reliability was terrible, we would have to restart it every few hours. We live on a hill in line of sight of the tower about half mile away. Signal is always 4 to 5 bars, excellent, but the gateway would just seem to time out or something and would not let any device connect to the Internet through it. Every time we restarted it it worked perfectly again. My wife was going crazy that we would have to go back to the cable monopoly because it would suddenly go down during zoom calls for work, streaming TV, when the kids woke up every single morning there was no Internet. Yet when we would restart it it would work perfectly a minute later. People talk about the gateways overheating or needing external antennas or what not, but it merely seemed like the gateway needed a refreshed connection to the tower. That is to say, T-Mobile needed to reprogram how the gateways stay connected to
