Home and Business Internet
A dedicated space to talk about all of the things going on with T-Mobile High-Speed Internet
I have an eero mesh for the house connected to a Spectrum modem. I got the TMO gateway (Arkadyn model) but the TMO app has nothing for advanced configuration. Is there a secret way to turn off WiFi in the TMO box? I see lots of posts about setting up a double NAT but no details at all. Similarly, no config for pass through/bridge or Access Point? Is there another app to configure this model? Just swapping the Spectrum modem with the TMO gateway shows No Internet on my eero router. Possibly power cycling the eero will get it to hook up as a simple modem?
I just got the home wifi router and tried to connect my phone to it. It connected but would not let me access the internet. Same with my Playstation. We tried restarting a couple times and it didnt affect it. The router itself has a connection, though its not strong. What do I do?
Hi all,I ordered the 5G M2000 as soon as possible because I was fed up with super slow internet here in rural Florida. Upstairs the unit locked onto 5G and gave me 137+Mbps (yes!) and downstairs, it dropped to 9 Mbps, a problem to be remedied with a repeater. HOWEVER, no matter what I tried with port forwarding, I could not reach my cameras from the outside. This was not a problem with my current ISP and no problem with any installations I’ve done in the past. I’ll give it another try in a few months, but for now, I’m sticking with my current ISP.
Just started trial period. Equipment is identified above. HP is on current firmware. The HP is able to see the Arc, but can't connect. I have tried both simultaneous ipv4 and ipv6 on the HP as well as just ipv6. No joy. Reset network settings on HP to wipe out prior network info, no joy. I understand that Arc doesn't do ipv4 at all, so I didn't try that. I'm not looking forward to try to set up Wifi by connecting via USB or ethernet, so I'm hoping that someone can provide some direction here that doesn't involve that task.Hey T-Mo, I sure wish that we could get bridge mode....
KVD21 gateway, iphone 12, Galaxy Tab S6 liteUsing Ookla Speedtest I'm getting download speeds on iphone of 135, 143, 136, 128, 149 while at same time I'm getting Galaxy speeds of 34, 23, 34, 36, 30. Upload speeds just slightly higher with iphone. Why is there such a big difference? Which speed should I use to determine if I should keep T-mobile internet? Have the Galaxy tablet, two 4K Vizio TVs, two iphones being used at same time.
Each time I call I’m told the system is being worked on. Speeds of less than 1Mb/s often will not even load a webpage, and I am paying full price for dealing with these speeds everyday. These speeds are Beta speeds, definitely not worthy of a public rollout to pay retail price for service this bad.
Just received a 5G gateway, ran few speed test (using speedtest.net app )(about 15 try) logged into the online portal and it shows 14GB data used. Yes i know its supposed to be unlimited. But how can few steed test justify 14GB of data? Also why is online Portal showing $55 while its supposed to be $50 ?
I've had the 5G home internet gateway, aka 'trashcan', for 5 days now. For the first 4 days. Everything was great - 200/20 Mbps up/down wired. Then last night around 6:00 PM CST in 73034, it dropped internet. The meter still showed 3 bars as usual, but internet was unreachable from any device, wired or wifi.I rebooted a couple of times and internet connectivity came back within 20 - 30 minutes, but dropped several more times before it eventually stabilized after about an hour. Download speeds varied widely from 1 to 190 Mbps. But even once it appeared to stay up, a number of websites remained unreachable, such as speedtest.net and duckduckgo.com. It appears that DNS resolution was failing.I ran a tracert to google.com and saw the first hop to 192.168.12.1, then a hop to 192.0.0.1 which repeated over and over, sometimes timing out.I called support, but got nowhere with them. Just the normal unplug/reboot/clear browser cache script. I tried to explain that it appeared there was a DNS serve
Both of the my garage door openers stopped connecting to the internet 23 hours ago. This issue happened a couple of months and was resolved about 3 weeks ago but it has started up again. The issue is the TMobile 5g gateway is blocking the port the garage door openers use to connect to the Chamberlain portal. Please fix it or I am gone. The other that started 2 days ago is my internet connection on my devices drops every 1-2 hours for about 10 minutes.
I purchased home internet and was told my address would work. I explained that my phone gets no service at my home. I walk outside and it's fine, but in my apartment, nothing. I can only use wifi. They told me my phone was 4G only (it is), but the home internet is 5G and would work great. Took it home and installed (easy by the way) and only saw 2 bars in the device. Movies and TV buffered like crazy. Tried 5 different spots in the apartment. No change, 2 bars max. Took it work and tried since there is full bars on my phone. Still only 2 bars. Has anyone seen more than 2 bars?
Hello, I recently received and set up my 5G for home/business unit. Very happy with the service and price at this point. I set up the 2.4 and 5g SSIDs with the same names and created passwords. These are working fine. My question is, why does the router still broadcast the default “TMOBILE-8888” network name in addition to my other 2 SSIDs? Isn't this a security risk because someone could get the default password off the bottom of my router and gain access to my network? Also, does anyone know how/what the mesh system is on these devices?
When im downloading high storage programs, like games on steam, the speed will keep droping till the point where it shows no connection on steam but it still shows on my pc im still connected. Wont let me open anything internet related. Itll also do this on my gaming consoles. Will do this both on wifi and through eathernet. To remedybit, i have to turn off the gateway which will either fix it or i have to repeat the process. Does anyone know of a solution to this or is it a hardware problem?
I know there are posts already but I can't seem to figure out the best solution. I've been using the Gateway now for a few weeks and have since needed to turn off/on the tower multiple times because my connected devices say "no internet" when connected. Just the past 2 mornings alone there have been connection issues. I already have a weak connection no matter where the tower is placed which is frustrating. I want to continue to use TMobile's Home Internet but I'm losing patience with the inconsistency and unreliable service. (Not to mention the app to check is worthless if you aren't connected to the Wi-Fi)How can I fix this problem?
