A dedicated space to talk about all of the things going on with T-Mobile High-Speed Internet
Charging me for a phone I own not owe*****. I joined T- mobile last year. I purchased a Samsung from their store on a payment plan. For Christmas I received an Apple iPhone unlocked and fully paid as a gift. I just tried to switch to a different company with that iPhone but it is locked. I check my billing and it says it’s locked because I owe 300.00 on it. My question is how can they lock my iPhone that I own out right? Also why does it say I owe 300.00 instead of the Samsung?
I see that there are a lot of people having connectivity issues even though the tower says it’s connection is 100%. I’m a new customer and I have to say that I am beyond frustrated by the endless disruptions in every single video I’m watching. I had this problem maybe 3 times in 3 years with Xfinity but with T-Mobile, I can’t get to 5 minutes before it’s spinning but shows my connection an great. I am 5 seconds from canceling and going back to Xfinity.
This post is just for information if anyone else starts having problem with streaming on their smart TV. I have a Sony Bravia and occasionally have problems streaming, due to T-Mobile internet not connecting or due to my speeds being too low. It only occasionally happens, but when it does, the apps will either say there is no internet connection, or will do nothing but buffer forever, or not start at all. Sometimes an app, such as Peacock, will not start period, when all others do. That is a problem with the app, and I go to the settings on the Sony, go to the specific app, clear the cache, and then choose “open”. Once or twice that did not work and I uninstalled the app and then reinstalled it. That made it work. This weekend, I could not stream anywhere because all the apps either would not open, or a black screen would appear, or the app would open and then freeze. It was very unlike when I have problems with T-Mobile internet. Since I am on the east coast and we did have som
Talked to Tech and customer service regarding no service but paying for Max unlimited data and talk as well as TMobile Internet. No service at home for 10 days in Lehigh Acres, Fl. Has anyone else had issues with TMobile and connections in Lehigh Acres? The only info I received was they are working on towers! My husband just got out of hospital and I can’t make calls to doctors for his care from my home! Anyone who can help will be appreciated!
Around December 2022 or January 2023 I cancelled my Home Internet service and promptly returned my equipment to a T-Mobile store to avoid any charges. However, in June 2023 I started receiving calls and letters from a debt collector claiming that I owed about $380 to T-Mobile. I called T-Mobile 2 times and was reassured that I did not owe anything and I was suggested to disregard the collector 's calls because they were probably attempting to scam me. On August 14, I contacted T-Mobile again and finally found out that even though it was indicated in the system that I returned my Home Internet equipment on time, someone at T-Mobile made a mistake and sent me to collection claiming that the Internet home equipment had not been received. The associate I spoke to the 3rd time opened a ticket so my profile could be updated removing the erroneous balance. The very next day, August 15, I called T-Mobile again asking for something in writing that I could send to the debt collector to prove tha
I bought a second T-Mobile Nokia trash can router on eBay as backup. I’m assuming if I want to use it, I can just take the SIM card from the current Nokia router and put it in the other router and turn it on.Does anyone have any experience with doing this? Can you just take the SIM card out of one T-Mobile router and put it in another T-Mobile and just turn it on?
My wife was home when she smelt smoke downstairs but when she figured out where the smoke was coming from, she thought it was our router. I got home and started trying to figure out if it was the router I plugged the home Internet modem in and heard a noise that I have heard when the electronics are fried. I haven't taken it apart because I am going to turn it back in but I'm almost positive the home Internet fried due to overheating. If anyone else has this problem let me know Thank you!
We’re still in the 15-day free trial stage, and I want to love T-Mobile Home Internet so badly. Cost, ease of setup, security, speed, etc. are some of the great features. But, while our gateway works well for laptop connections and WiFi calling, when we try to stream music or videos over our Roku device, we frequently experience internet disconnects, and either have to reconnect, or reboot the Roku device. I love the performance on our computers and phones, but won’t be able to continue using the service if we can’t enjoy streaming entertainment. Are there any setting changes that might help (such as those found under the advanced network settings in the T-Mobile app)?
I just signed up for TMO's home internet service and having nothing but problems from the start. They gave me the Nokia gateway from the start and was getting 7 mbps download (forget about the upload, it's pitiful). Next day changed it to the Arcadyan gateway. Download improved to 15 but couldn't maintain that connection speed, it would fluctuate in a range between 3 - 15, not at all what I was expecting for 5G service. After 3 days of tech support, it's concluded that this is the best I can expect. Btw, there are 4G towers near me, according to their engineers but oddly enough they are claiming that poor location/coverage is the issue for my problem (I can't see their reasoning in this. I'm close to the towers but coverage is a problem. Huh?). Does anyone have advice on how I can improve my gateway performance? I understand an external antennae can make vast improvements, but it's an expensive option and labor intensive, i.e., if I want to mount it to the side of my house. Should I ju
Dear forum members,I come to you today seeking advice and solutions to a connectivity issue I've been experiencing with my Intel Evo laptop [https://www.lenovo.com/sg/en/faqs/intel/intel-evo-platform/] and T Mobile Gateway. As a frequent traveler and remote worker, I heavily rely on a stable and fast internet connection for my professional and personal needs. Unfortunately, I've encountered some challenges when attempting to connect my Intel Evo laptop to the T Mobile Gateway, and I'm hoping someone in this community can shed some light on the matter. Here are the specific issues I've been facing:Limited Connection Range: I've noticed that the range of the T Mobile Gateway's Wi-Fi signal seems to be limited when trying to connect with my Intel Evo laptop. Even when in close proximity to the gateway, the signal strength fluctuates and sometimes disconnects. Are there any known compatibility issues or settings that I need to adjust on either the laptop or the gateway to optimize the conne
The T-Mobile app goes in and out. The app will show no bars! I changed the admin password and Wi-Fi passwords, and the app says I’ve entered the wrong password, but the web interface accepts changed passwords. the 2mghz line shows no internet at times. when trying to reconnect my Alexa devices it shows no internet! This has been an ongoing problem for months.I am currently on hold to speak to someone, 30 minutes and counting. This is the worse customer service I’ve ever dealt with. When they want to end the call, they pretend there’s a bad connection, SMDH!
I have added a 2g network to connect my WI-FI to my Roomba j7 but it will not connect. The Gateway and Roomba are in the same room so it is not an issue with distance. I even changed the Security from WPA2/WPA2 to WPA2. Can anyone help with this issue I am having??
T-Mobile Home Internet, 8-6-2023My T-Mobile Home Internet is not reliable. I have had it for over 2 years now, same thing all the time, it cuts off. Before it would cut off and I would end up having to re-boot or power cycle my gateway. Now it cuts off and usually comes back up on it's own in about 2 minutes This is my second gateway, the first one the backup battery died). I have a log where I record (when I'm on my PC) the drops. If we are streaming video it does it and I don't write it down because it will usually come back on it's own. We have 2 T-Mobile cell phones, they do not work on the T-MHI wifi and they cut off on the internet also, at times, not necessarily at the same time as the Home Internet. According to Google Maps we are 3,290 ft. from the T-Mobile tower that I can see looking out my window by my desk. We on;y ever get 3 bars when the service is UP (originally we got 4 bars 2 years ago). Always been like that. I have a clear view of the tower. When it works it works g
