A dedicated space to talk about all of the things going on with T-Mobile High-Speed Internet
Had only small issues for the last 2 and a half months, now nothing is able to stay connected or get enough internet to work. Gateway is showing good connection with the same number of bars we've always had. Started yesterday, and is just as bad today. We're near Tuscon.
I had been using the Arcadyan gate way for about two months now and so far, the internet speed is below my expectation and it is very unstable. I get 56 Mbps at a good time but in the evening I’d be lucky if I get 5Mbps. I can no longer watch YouTube at HD quality. 4K will never work. I might get 1080 when the speed is good. Watching movie is quite challenging where the quality goes from blu-ray quality to VHS every few minutes. However, on my gateway, the connection quality is nearly always on “Very Good”. I was wondering if this situation will improve if I could use my own wireless distributor?
Hi there. Couple questions about T-Mobile home internet: (1) When I put the home internet on seasonal suspension (for about 2 months), could I still access the wi-fi security camera in my house? (2) My billing cycle is 5/29 to 6/28. If I start the suspension on 6/10, would I still pay the full price of $45 for this billing cycle (i.e., no proration for the $10/month suspension rate)? Thanks.
This needs to be fixed streaming services don’t work and the gambling sites require location verification to allow bets to be placed. My IP shows that I am in Colorado, Illinois or Georgia but I am physically in Kansas. If I connect my computer to my phones hotspot then all this goes away. Makes me want to run my whole home a few phones. This is enough to make me leave T-Mobile. I have been a customer for over 20 years from the voice stream days.T-Mobile has stated that I “should” be able to get a static IP if I convert to a business account. I might do this is there is no added costs. Static IP is standard on Cable and fiber providers, so this is very disappointing.
So I was told by a t-mobile employee that there was a promotion going on that was a limited time deal that said that for 3 months of internet on them! Plus a $150 prepaid Mastercard after getting the internet. About 20 days later there’s a balance that appears on my account which is strange to me because they told me it was covered by the for the next 3 months. Asked customer service about this and they gave me the complete opposite answer to my question that they don’t cover the balance on the account since it’s past due! Like seriously?! This is outrageous. Never having them again for home internet or anything!
I dropped Comcrap a couple months ago hoping to improve my upload performance. Tmo worked pretty well for the first month with 40-80MBs which is far better than Comcrap. I have noticed that with springtime and leaves coming on the trees my performance has tanked (10-20MBs) with line of site the the local tower impeded. I love the simplicity of plugging in a gateway and away you go but really won’t be able to tolerate this performance for work.My tmobile Internet app on my phone of course says my connection is excellent. It has never been anything less. Rebooting the GW doesn’t help. Is this just what we have to live with this type of service? I’ll be moving on to Ziply next as that service is amazing both up and down. Too bad Tmo
I currently have the Z flip 3 and wanted to upgrade to he flip 5, Tmobile had a promotion available for Magenta Max (which is the plan that I have). This promotion was allowing me to upgrade my phone, I called the representative and she said that for that offer to work I would have to pay off my current device which had 2 payments left, so I payed the amount, and she said to call tomorrow and that I should be able to upgrade. I called today and the representative told me that I still had an installment due before I'm able to upgrade my device, mind you I had already received an email and pdf stating that my device was payed off, I asked for the amount and the total would only be justified if it was for my watch. I've had issues with them before, the representative that helped me purchasing my phone said that the watch device would be free of charge if I enrolled in their Magenta Max plan and got a line for it, I did just that and noticed that they had been charging me for the device mo
Our local 5G tower has been down since Sunday evening 9/11/22, when a severe thunderstorm passed through. Each time I call support, all they can tell me is that a crew is working on it. There doesn’t seem to be any way to predict how long the repair is going to take. We’ve now been without their Internet service for five days.Since I’m new to TMHI (about 5-6 weeks), I’m wondering whether this is a frequent problem with their service? So far I haven’t disconnected my other Internet provider, but was planning to do so at the end of September. I can’t afford to pay for two providers!
So I went with T Mobile on March 4, 2023 and the service first off is not as good as I was told it would it be for my area, and I get kicked in and out of calls. My reason for the message today the phone that I purchased on March 04/2023 is having speaker issues the sound is staticky and I am hoping that maybe something can be done to fix it
I applied for my Echo show before the promotion expired. haven’t even gotten a promocode.I have talked to quite a few t-mobile reps about it but no one could get me a promocode.Today, a rep told me I have a phone number attached to the internet box.To receive the echo show, you have to apply with the modem’s phone number!!!!All those reps that I talked to didn’t know this? Not the promo is over, they tell me there’s no way to get a echo show. The internet is doing ok but I’m not happy with customer service. From reading what others” wrote, I’m not the only one who was scammed by this promotion.Just like t-mobile to make redemption so convoluted that it cannot be redeemed.Like the site on the promotion sheet. https://support.t-mobile/docs/DOC2727 doesn’t even exist.
I recently upgraded my plan from essentials to 5G and I am unable to get a internet connection when I am away from the Wi-Fi connection . I have four phone lines and two of them are working fine but the other two do not have an internet connection . I have an I phone 13 and my husband has a Samsung . I have taken the phone to the T-Mobile store and they are unable to figure out why it’s not working . Has anyone had a similar issue ?
I was attempting to get my Axis 211 webcam and Davis weather station to auto-upload data via FTP with the new T-mobile wifi router that just arrived. FTP was failing with errors, and T-mobile support knew nothing about FTP via their access point. After experimenting, I found that using Passive FTP mode for both the webcam and Davis weather station software solved the problem. (Note that others in this forum suggest that Active FTP is the answer.) In my installation, the webcam is connected via ethernet, and the webcam via 2.4 GHz wifi link.My T-mobile wifi router uses subnet 12 (non configurable). And, if the IP address is non-dynamic (as for my webcam), remember to set that up correctly on the webcam.
