Home and Business Internet
A dedicated space to talk about all of the things going on with T-Mobile High-Speed Internet
Not sure if anyone really knows a fix or what's going on I've read a lot of stuff about CGNAT and how Tmobile home internet doesn't let you port forward and so when you are out of your house that has the tmo router/modem you can't remote play with either PS5 or XBSX but I've read things that Tmobile is working on it? Is this true? I own a wifi 6e router but I put it in ap mode because I heard that Tmobile, the I think the sagecom fast it's the black one with the little screen, router doesn't like the router being in router modem but I was wondering if there was any way possible to play my PS5/series x, say when I go to my parents house. Is this still not a thing with tmo home internet. I was hoping by now it would be as I get good speeds at my house I just want to be able to access my PS5 from my parents house. Is there anyway I can get this to work without paying money for a VPN service?
Cellphones and Chromebook connected to the network without issue. Dell laptop is another story. Asks for USER ID and PWORD but rejects the default entries printed on the tower. I assume I must have changed these during the initial setup but can’t recall what I would have used for the USER ID. (Pretty sure on the PWORD). How do I find the current USER ID? (sorry--not a very tech savvy user)
Both our iPhone 14 and Brother printer show as connected to our kvd21. However when we try to print from the iPhone a warning message comes up saying they cannot connect and the “privacy separator “ must be disabled. I cannot find any mention of this when I go in to administer the kvd21 settings. What am I missing? Thanks. Note, we connected our older desktop to the kvd21 by cable and it finds the printer and prints.
Despite my gateway telling me I have very good service, tonight is the worst service has been. .13 on a speedtest. It's almost comical how bad this service has been. Multiple calls with customer service that had no answers, swapped out the gateway. I think my dial up 25 years ago was faster. They offered me a $10 credit. LolTmobile customer for 18 years or so, thinking it's time to take my business elsewhere.
We work from home doing accounting and bookkeeping on Right Networks. It’s frustrating since we keep getting knocked off that platform due to “no internet connection.” It only happens on that particular platform and on one particular laptop. Is anyone else having the same problem, whether with Right Networks or another platform? Is it a TMobile issue or the platform’s issue? Any ideas on how to resolve it? Thanks.
Wondering if anyone can check this out and see if you have the same problem. I am trying to make Yosemite lodging reservations. After starting at the NPS website, I get shuffled off to https://www.travelyosemite.com/ That handoff works just fine. Clicking through to Lodging and selecting any of the options sends me to https://reservations.ahlsmsworld.com/Yosemite/Plan-Your-Trip/Accommodations/Yosemite-Valley-Lodge?_ga=2.245919364.1447305021.1698005585-1852094327.1698005585 This breaks and never goes anywhere. The message is that the server unexpectedly dropped the connection. I have tried this on several computers ( Windows and Mac ), via cell and via TMobile Home Internet with zero success. Other people have been able to reach this site using different ISPs, so I assume the problem is T-Mobile at least in my area ( northern San Diego county). Can anyone give me this a shot and let me know?
When a new client connects to my Sagemcom 5688W gateway (i.e. to the wifi SSID broadcast by the gateway), it takes up to 30 seconds for the client to connect to the internet. During this ~30 second timeframe, the newly connected client gets DHCP and it can ping the gateway, but it cannot connect to the internet. This happens on all clients regardless of the client OS. This makes it impossible for some clients to connect to my wifi SSID (specifically, neither of my printers will connect because they time out before the gateway allows them to connect after 30 seconds, so I have to print like a caveman via USB). I tried factory resetting my gateway, no change. I called T-Mobile support, they sent me a replacement gateway, it has the same problems. In my home, I have a full 5g T-Mobile signal, no obstructions around the gateway, and no wifi interference (I have confirmed this with advanced wifi testing tools on Linux, and an Aruba UXI sensor). Does your gateway have the same problem?
I can sign into Vanguard’s 401k website, but navigating around will log me out with the message “You have been logged out”. If I connect to a Verizon hotspot form an iPad, I have zero problems. It’s easily reproducible, just sign in, and navigate to activity history, select a report, or update savings rate and you’ll be logged out. Not new, this has been happening ever since getting T-Mobile Internet, but I was just able to verify it always fails with T-Mobile Internet and never fails on a Verizon connection. I’m using a home mesh network with an Ethernet connection to the T-Mobile Internet modem (I don’t use the T-Mobile Internet WiFi at all for coverage reasons).
Hi, I have Arcadian gateway which I got a month ago, and have setup one network with my username and password different from the one provided on the device. I have noticed on multiple occasions that my iPad shows 6 networks broadcasting, from my gateway. These networks have the same SSID as the default one, provided with the gateway with some extra (-2.4GHz_1). It looks like this:TMOBILE-7xxA-2.4GHz_1TMOBILE-7xxA-2.4GHz_2TMOBILE-7xxA-2.4GHz_3TMOBILE-7xxA-2.4GHz_4TMOBILE-7xxA-2.4GHz_5TMOBILE-7xxA-2.4GHz_6They are all password protected as I see a lock icon but I haven’t tried to connect to any of these. After a minute of showing up they disappear. This does not happen everyday, only occasionally. In the T-Mobile app, I only see the network which I have setup with custom name and password. Is my gateway hacked? Why is this happening and what should I do to get rid of this issue? Thanks
Ok sorry if it's long. On around the middle of Feb. My samsung s22 wouldn't charge the screen was blinking in an out then trying to get it to charge i dropped it and the corner of it cracked and honestly not that bad but to get it fixed at these fixa phone places they wanted 3-400 dollars so i paid for insurance why not use it. Her and her supervisor said they have never heard of that and they would call me back. I got nothing. When I try to share a TikTok video on messenger my recipient gets it the first time. But if I send another one they dont see it. Instead they see the logo TikTok-make your day. And don’t see the video I intended to share. Happens on my iPad and my phone. I’ve tried clearing the cache, that won’t work. It shares my video only once, then it won’t share another one.
I had been using the Arcadyan gate way for about two months now and so far, the internet speed is below my expectation and it is very unstable. I get 56 Mbps at a good time but in the evening I’d be lucky if I get 5Mbps. I can no longer watch YouTube at HD quality. 4K will never work. I might get 1080 when the speed is good. Watching movie is quite challenging where the quality goes from blu-ray quality to VHS every few minutes. However, on my gateway, the connection quality is nearly always on “Very Good”. I was wondering if this situation will improve if I could use my own wireless distributor?
I live in North Tampa and have had the home Internet service for about 6 to 7 months. It has been and got awful just like the other services that I have had before. I keep losing signal intermittently throughout the day my solar panels have a log and each day I lose signal and Internet service about 6 to 7 times a day to include during work hours. I most recently was doing an interview and lost Internet during the dang interview. I have called the worthless and useless customer service on multiple occasions nobody can ever help me. they were supposed to have called me back two weeks ago never did I am so fed up with them. Is anybody else having problems in the north Tampa area? There are no other reliable Internet solutions so I feel like I have to settle for this crappy service. T-Mobile has oversold and under delivered on 5G in my opinion.
