A dedicated space to talk about all of the things going on with T-Mobile High-Speed Internet
I up until today have been a certain show on Netflix, I tried to watch it today but it disappeared and I received a message about my VPN/ proxy being on, I haven't made any changes, I can still watch other shows but the show I was watching disappeared, it won't even let me screencast from my phone. I am using a 5G gateway, it tried disconnecting the gateway and connecting to my TV thru my phones hotspot but still had the same issue. Anyone have any advice?
Got the gateway like maybe 3 weeks ago which works great on everything besides my gaming laptop (Asus rog zephyrus g15) it connects for maybe a minute then it will say no internet. It's annoying since I been trying to play some online games on my days off from work. Anybody have any ideas what I can do?
This post is just for information if anyone else starts having problem with streaming on their smart TV. I have a Sony Bravia and occasionally have problems streaming, due to T-Mobile internet not connecting or due to my speeds being too low. It only occasionally happens, but when it does, the apps will either say there is no internet connection, or will do nothing but buffer forever, or not start at all. Sometimes an app, such as Peacock, will not start period, when all others do. That is a problem with the app, and I go to the settings on the Sony, go to the specific app, clear the cache, and then choose “open”. Once or twice that did not work and I uninstalled the app and then reinstalled it. That made it work. This weekend, I could not stream anywhere because all the apps either would not open, or a black screen would appear, or the app would open and then freeze. It was very unlike when I have problems with T-Mobile internet. Since I am on the east coast and we did have som
I’ve had the 5G ultra for three weeks and it worked great. Then the day I upgraded to a 5G phone the 5G service disappeared from my area in Buchanan, Mi. No internet for two days now. The tech support from India was not great. I told them I had no signal, they hung up me. I tried again and they treated me like a two-year old that knows nothing about electronics. Finally after doing all the BS they asked I told them again there was no signal and they put in a trouble ticket. I also called the local T-Mobile store and they too hung up on me. Totally frustrated with T-Mobile and I am thinking about going back to Comcast even though it costs three times as much. I feel like I am in the T-Mobile Twilight Zone. I suppose they will keep charging me for the internet service even though I am not getting any signal.
Helli! I am trying to manage my connected devices thru the t-mobile internet app. There is a pop up stating that the device isnt responding, and if it continues to show the pop up, to restart the device. I have dont this many times, as well as uninstalling and reinstalling the app itself. We have the grey cylindrical wifi device. Anyone having similar issues?
Called support with WIFI issue - Wasn’t able to get internet on any device. They had me perform hard reset “Hold button under hard reset for 5 seconds”. Afterwards all of my previously connected devices are working, but the WIFI password printed on Gateway no longer works. Anyone know the default gateway password? Hoping I don’t have to call support again… Thanks
I just signed up to get this gateway box two months ago and while things have been of sort of ok, the service is not nearly as solid as regular home internet service. I am just wondering how everyone else’s experience has been. Can everyone that has this service please reply back to this thread and tell us how their experience has been?My experience has been nowhere near what they advertise, they say it is a 5G Wi-Fi Gateway for High Speed Home Internet by T-Mobile and I have NEVER had 5G speeds. I barely get 500k mbs, and my ping is often close to 1000!!!! Add in the drops and it is a major challenge trying to do things on the net. Please share your experience.
Got a new gateway and a new sim card, then had sim card replaced. Speedtest at the TMobile store less than a mile away was over 170. My first speed test at home was over 100 but then every subsequent speed test ranged from 3 to 24. I've restarted the gateway and devices and still get slow speed tests. Without wifi speed test is almost 200, so service in the area is good. Did I get another bad gateway?
I have the Internet at my Fl home and it is good enough right now until new tower gets built closer. I have a Georgia home and we brought the gateway here to test and it works great here. I am wondering about the cost for a second gateway. I’d love to ditch both Comcrap and Spectrum. Thanks, P.S my Georgia address says its not available, but it does work here very very well. I do note that if you don't get the 5G noted on the gateway, it does not work well.
Let me begin by asking what would my bill be as of today and any other fees if I were to leave T-Mobile as of today. I am going to tell you my nightmare that began with my current contract. The phones and contract the first time we came to you folks were very nice the price, service, and equipment. But now that I think about it was because I was with ATT at the time and they wanted me to switch carriers. So when are contract came up I went to the chat and got information on your current plans. She explained what the plane included. And it wasThe Magenta military planTwo new iPhonesA third line for hot spotNetflix so two people could watchIncluded a part that allowed me to update our phones before our contract was done. And the charge would be $90.00 per monthWe would get 800.00 for each trade-in of our phones. I do not trade my phone because of a cracked screen, I asked her if the store would honor her prices she said they would Here is the nightmareWhen we got to the store I was told
Just set up my new T-Mobile internet. Speed is really good. Have both my iPad and my sharp-roku tv using the T-Mobile internet. However, I cannot mirror my iPad onto the (Roku) tv. When I switched back to my cable service internet on both the iPad and the (Roku) tv I was able to mirror the iPad. But when I went back to using the T-Mobile internet on both the Roku tv and the iPad I once again could not mirror the iPad onto the Roku tv. Is there something else I need to do to be able to mirror my iPad onto the Roku tv using the T-Mobile internet?
I'd like to switch from using a mifi hotspot to tmobile home internet now that it's been made available to me. The mifi is through a friend's tmobile account but still includes device payments. If I make the switch to a new home internet individual account will I be eligible for the 'zero cost to switch' promotion to cover the remaining hotspot device balenance?
