Non-Return Fee on Gateway Internet Wireless
Need Help!Had a Gateway Wireless Router that wasn’t working so I called T-mobile and received a replacement. In the meantime the current Gateway started working. I was charged a non-return fee of $414.40 and paid. Then returned the replacement Gateway instead of the router on the return shipping label. I have called T-mobile multiple times and have over 5 Handset Order Research Requests and on multiple occasions have been told that they will refund, but has not happened. I am running out of options, does anyone have any advice to get my non-return fee refunded?
Pre-purchase questions about the T-Mobile home internet
I’m remotely trying to help my mother change her internet from Spectrum to T-Mobile to reduce her expenses. She currently has inexpensive ~5 gig/mo prepaid T-Mobile cell phone service. I have three questions at the moment;What is the minimum single line “qualified cell service” for discounting the $50 home internet to $25/mo? The details pop-up doesn’t specify. How long is allowed from receipt of the home gateway until activation is required? I would like to coordinate being there to assist with installation and coordinate the end of her monthly Spectrum service. She already owns her wired/wifi router, which is all set up with some static IP address for printers and the like. Currently Spectrum just provides the modem. How much more involved is it than just moving the router’s WAN RJ45 cable from the old Spectrum modem to the new T-Mobile gateway?I appreciate any responses.
t-mo modem questions
i just got the square modem /gateway today and i need had to not only change the default on the modems passwords but a few other settings. so how can i get into the setting on this modem? a few years ago i tested the round white or silver one they called a trash can and i managed to get into the settings but i forgot how to do it. my netgear router has an ip address for it so i guess inac enter that and see but also what i need to get are the ports it uses. i have cameras and they are now connected to the netgear router and the t-mo modem is also plugged into my network and that network is plugged into the netgear router/modem. i kind of figure i will not be able to see my cameras when i’m away from the home but when i’m at home i want to see them. at this time i see 5 foscams but i can’t see the dvrs or nvrs so if i can figure out the default port or i can get into the t-mo modems settings and change the port then i may be able to configure the cameras on my phone. thanks
IP Flapping on Home Internet interfering with access to several online services
I have had T-Mobile Home Internet for a couple of months now. Previously I have had numerous brands of internet service: Verizon, AT&T, Solis(AT$T, Verizon & T-Mobile). With T-Mobile Home Internet I cannot use several sites that have never been a problem:I can’t get an FTP connection to work. I can’t use my banks bill pay. I can’t log in to another financial institution. I’m told that this is due to “IP Flapping”. I have NEVER had this problem before and have been using the now inaccessible sites for years. Can T-Mobile fix this problem?
Plex Remote Access Unavailable.
I have the T-Mobile router connected to Google Wifi. Obviously double NAT. I get this in Plex settings:Not available outside your networkYour server is signed in to Plex, but is not reachable from outside your network. Learn moreTip: It looks like your server may be connected to the internet through multiple routers or other network devices. Try connecting it directly to your primary device, or visit our support site for more information about troubleshooting this "Double-NAT" scenario.I know there is no bridge mode. I’m thinking some kind of port forward may work but that’s not even available. Anyone found a way around this? Gotta have my Plex.
$50 Prepaid Mastercard Promotion . . . .
Until last night, I had totally forgotten the $50 prepaid Mastercard promotion, after getting the Echo 8 Show some time ago. Fortunately, I had the promotions page bookmarked. I went back there and the $50 promotion had a redeem button. Clicked it and there was the card info. I wonder if I can apply it to my T-Mobile bill next month. Anyone try that?
Can you Stream Golf Channel?
Good day,I have had T-Mobile Home Internet Service for almost 6-months, and all is well...well, almost. I am trying to get Golf Channel streaming. I have tried numerous times with the activation code for NBC Peacock+ (NBC owns golf Channel) but all to no avail. Have you ben able to get it to work? When researching the Golf Channel website, I get the link that takes me to watch “Live.” When I use the link, it takes me to a list of ISPs (Comcast, etc.) and T-Mobile is not present. When I called Golf Channel, they are clueless. I stream Peacock, Apple, etc. all with no issues. Any suggestions much appreciated!
ipv4/cgnat down again
same thing happened 20 days agosupport “experts” are clueless, they don't know what dns is, what ipv4 is, what ipv6 is, and don't understand why i can browse ipv6 sites and not ipv4 ones. they don’t know what cgnat is.i wonder if they are trained for anything else other than billing and how to turn the device on and off.
T-Mobile Home Internet Can't Access Certain Sites/Cloud Services
Pasadena, CA - As of yesterday (11/9/2022) morning, I wasn’t able to access certain websites/cloud (e.g. Ring.com, Alexa, a host of various work-related cloud-based services). Spent over an hour with T-Mobile’s “tactical” support team in the Philippines going over reams of canned and iterative checklist/questions only to get “...other people are calling about the same issues...so sorry...bye for now...”.The websites/cloud services work just fine when using my phone’s hotspot via AT&T.(1) Are others in or around my area experiencing the same?(2) Is there a way to get partial billing credit for this service interruption?
Is TM Home Internet going to work for me?
I'm seeing lots of problems so getting concerned about this product (which hasn't been delivered yet). All I needed is internet access at a house so I can install Ring or Blink etc for security I can monitor from phone. I will be 2k miles away from the house. I was told this would be a good solution but if the service is intermittent I'm wondering if it will restart properly without human intervention from me. Amy suggestions? Also I think most of those security devices are on 2.4.
How to get the $30 home internet plan on magenta max?
I signed up for the $30 home internet plan as a magenta max customer last month and I being charged $50. I have called CSR several times and I was told you have to wait a few billing cycles before a $20 a month credit is applied. I have asked several times for a copy of the terms and conditions of the promo and they have refused to provide details. Has anyone manage to get the $30 rate for home internet?
Echo show promotion
I applied for my Echo show before the promotion expired. haven’t even gotten a promocode.I have talked to quite a few t-mobile reps about it but no one could get me a promocode.Today, a rep told me I have a phone number attached to the internet box.To receive the echo show, you have to apply with the modem’s phone number!!!!All those reps that I talked to didn’t know this?Not the promo is over, they tell me there’s no way to get a echo show.The internet is doing ok but I’m not happy with customer service. From reading what others” wrote, I’m not the only one who was scammed by this promotion.Just like t-mobile to make redemption so convoluted that it cannot be redeemed.Like the site on the promotion sheet. https://support.t-mobile/docs/DOC2727 doesn’t even exist.
So, I cancelled my home internet (billing cycle ended March of this year). Since it’s month to month and you don’t get connection unless the month is paid for, why is it that they still charge you for the following billing cycle? I don’t understand it. The equipment was returned, service connection cancelled and yet I still keep receiving a bill. Now this unpaid bill was sent to Collections, ruining my credit score. I have called Customer Support (which is hard to do because they keep sending me to cellphone service customer support). I have wasted so much of my time trying to get this fixed, with notes all over my account stating that I should not have to pay and this was done in error. I contacted the Collection Agency and filled out a dispute form which T-mobile said that they would approve and clear it, since it was their error and I should not have been charged and sent to Collections. I received a notice from the Collection Agency stating that T-mobile did not clear the charge. S
Redemption code invalid
I was offered an Echo device when I signed up for Home Internet service. When I went to place the order, the code is invalid. I made such comment on the survey I was asked to fill out. I even received an email response from Bountem Souryasack expressing regret and asking for feedback. Once again, I explained the redemption code was invalid for the free Echo device I was offered. Two weeks later, nothing. If T-mobile has no intentions of fulfilling offers, then why offer to begin with? I didn’t ask for it, it was offered.I guess we will see
5G Home Internet Continues to disconnect
I have had this device just a few days and I must reboot it about three times a day as the WIFI will fail and knock out ethernet as well. Sometime I have to reboot it twice in a row. When can I expect a hotfix for this issue?I cannot afford to work like this and I will have to drop service is not fix ASAP.I will like to also request credit on my bill until the issue is 100% resolved. I see several topics for the exact same issue I am having and it need to be fixed across the board!!!
Required changes for Nokia 5G home gateway "the trash can"
These have been mentioned on various other threads be we need a thread that discusses the REQUIRED changes for this device to be taken seriously. At the end of the day I just need a dumb modem. But specifically we need these options to all be in the admin web page. Allow admins to enable HTTPs access to the Gateway, Allow admins to 100% turn off the WiFi radios, Allow admins to access the Gateway’s internal firewall, and be able to create/modify rules, check logs, etc. Allow admins to 100% disable the gateway’s internal firewall if so desired. Allow admins to switch the device to bridge mode. Honestly the last option would solve 90% of power users problems because then they could just use their existing home router to do everything else the way they were before they switched to T-Mobile. I can tell this is a pretty powerful device by reading up on the Nokia Fastmile home page, which is this same device unbranded. All of the above can easily be done with this device and if I had to
Was told by TMO sales person the TMO Home Internet would work with MMS messages
Hello, I have TMO Home Internet plan as well as the phone plan. My phone plan does not include Unlimited data usage. When I subscribed to TMO home internet, the sales person told me it is compatible with MMS messages. I was excited since the Home Internet would be compatible with MMS and I wouldn’t need to use my data for my phone which is limited. Well, it does not work. I am using Message app and also Textra app for my Android device. Both says I need to turn my mobile data to receive message or download a file sent via MMS. Please Help. Thanks.
Taking money without authorization
Beware! TMobile will drain your account...WITHOUT APPROVAL or AUTHORIZATION to do so. Leave you without your much needed meds for a month and don’t care at all. I was getting emails saying I was behind and in danger of being disconnected: I only have internet with them. My account was paid current except the last bill which was due on August 27. Knowing I was limited in August, I set that one up for payment plan, 2 payments in September. When I got the 3rd email saying I was behind, I called them. First problem is no one speaks or understands English and they will run right over the top of you. She said “mistake”, “ignore”, “all good”. NEXT DAY: I can’t get my meds. No money. They had drained my account. I’m really ticked off about this.bbwyldflowers
