I was looking online at usage on my account and saw in my messaging section that yesterday evening within a 24 minute period I had 8 incoming messages from Direct to Consumer Shortcode 2 2300. My phone never received them...they just showed up on my messaging history as incoming on my account. Does anyone know what this is from, how it initiated, and how to stop it?
I'm using a Pixel2XL on T-Mobile and the native Visual Voicemail (built into the Google Phone app) will not activate. The VM tab does show, and I have the option checked in the menu settings for the Phone app. I continue to get the messages "Visual Voicemail Activating" and "Can't activate Visual Voicemail". I have VVM on my plan via the ONE Plus add-on.I have removed the T-Mobile VVM app as I know that it will deactivate the native VVM. I have reset network settings, restarted the phone, and spoken with both T-Mobile and Google. I have yet to be given a reason this is not working. (Note: brought the phone over from Verizon but it's unlocked - all other data and voice functionality is good)
My phone has full bars but the 4g let logo isn't there. I go to call or send a text or use data nothing work and a pop up comes across my screen saying "emergency calls only". This has happened multiple times in multiple locations including in my kitchen. I have a Samsung Galaxy s5 that I brought over from At&t. It there something I have to change in my phone. Also when making phone calls when my phone does say 4g let it has a long delay before it starts to ring. Please help me understand why
I have a Google Pixel that I was using on Google Project Fi. I moved to T-Mobile a week ago and every since I moved, I am having a lot of problems receiving text messages and incoming calls when I am on WiFi.I work in an area with extremely poor T-Mobile cell coverage, but I have a good WiFi connection at work. I can browse the web and access the internet, but text messages do not come through.Phone calls seem extremely hit and miss. Sometimes they work and sometimes they do not.My phone shows the WiFi calling icon in the top left.I have a couple questions:1: Do SMS and MMS texts use wifi over cellular if it is available? Can you select which one it uses?2: Is there a way to troubleshoot this other than trying to send a text and seeing if it is received? Are there any logs that can be reviewed on the phone?Thank you.
T-Mobile play in the app selector have been sending me notification and have been downloaded without my permission or my initiation several times this week and I have uninstalled them several times and they keep coming back on top of that Facebook an app that I haven't used since 2014 keeps being downloaded along with these two and I want to know why or this will escalate because this is a massive violation of privacy.
I'm getting frequent Wifi calling "Er081"'s on my TMobile Note Edge. I've tried 3 different ISPs with speeds from 10m-500m, tweaked the QOS and COS on each, multiple wifi's etc.It will usually initiate the call. But it won't be long before call just drops, anywhere from 15-60 mins in. My calls are always long (>30mins), and I've yet to normally terminate a call. Of course I'm now getting asked what's going on.On one occasion, the ER081 stayed on the drop-down and wouldn't go away until I rebooted phone (Edge).IMHO this is a wonderful feature, but TMo is not ready for primetime on this one? Is it true Note 3's and older phones work fine? Friend has Note4 with exact issues, makes it unusable
How do I get rid of the voicemail notification on my Galaxy watch? I have gone through my voicemails on my phone and deleted them all. I tried calling the voicemail from my watch notification and it just hangs up without calling. I even tried calling the number for my watch (which does not work). And the notification is still there...3 months later. At this point, it is just annoying. I have no voicemail and can't delete the notification on my watch, it says "Received on Watch" so nothing on phone's voicemail makes a difference, and it does not clear when I clear all the other notification on my watch. I just want to get rid of the notification.
I want to know why we are being forced to update our phones every month. I am tired of having to update it and then go without my phone because I cant recieve phones for 5 days because of the updates. I have disabled "Auto Download Over Wifi" and I have even gone through the developers setting and turned off "Auto Update System". I dont think that we need to constantly have a monthly security update on the Note 9 or to be forced to update it.
Text messages I send are arriving split into many small texts, why ? I have a t mobile Galaxy S8, and when I text to a Sprint iPhone, and a Verizon Android (not sure which), my text message, say a moderate length (not near the 1000 char max but longer than the 160 char SMS size), or even shorter, will arrive in many small texts, and often not in order. This started this past Friday, with virtually every text I send of any length at all. Not seeing this problem to AT&T iPhones. Also, if I send a pretty long text, say 750+/- characters, to the Verizon phone, as of Friday, it's not getting there at all. Any ideas ? Did I somehow do something to my phone settings ? I cleared the messaging (I used the default text messaging app) app cache, and also the system cache, neither of which made any difference.
Every half hour I get a popup message. It says “T-Mobile keeps stopping” and below that it has “App info” and “Close app” first one takes me to the app page where I can do a “force stop” (yes I tried that and it doesn’t stop the popup) second option just closes the popup. Then it comes back a few minutes later. This is driving me nuts.Things I’ve tried: restarted phone, deleted and reinstalled the appI have a OnePlus Nord N200 5Gandroid version 11Model DE21184GB RAM, 64GB ROMused 64 GB storage and have 37.24GB leftAnyone know whats going on?Just noticed I’ve used 64GB in storage and I have 64 GB of ROM, could this be it even though I have 37GB left in storage? Not tech savvy, which I’m sure is obvious!
I’ve noticed that AT&T and Verizon have already begun preorders for the new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2….Any idea when T Mobile might join? I read somewhere that TMO isn’t doing preorders but will have the phones available at launch on September 18. Can anyone confirm?
BYOD from Verizon to T-Mobile. I brought my S9 and my wife brought her S8+. Lot long after the port-in process was complete, my wife's S8+ downloaded the T-Mobile app and the look/location of the status bar icons changed to the T-Mobile 'motif'; my phone hasn't changed at all. When I go to update software, it was telling me my device was not authorized, but now it says the device is up to date. However, the Verizon apps are still there and won't uninstall and the Service provider SW ver. is: SAOMC-SM-G960U_OYN_VZW_OO_0077 (notice the VZW) and the last line in that section reads: VZW/VZW/VZW. My wife's phone has a last line of TMB/TMB/VZW (notice the TMB). Called T-Mobile and got completely clueless reps that claim "once it's a Verizon phone, it's always a Verizon phone!" Really?, then explain my wife's phone that I purchased from the same Verizon store a few months earlier. The Samsung website says that once a new SIM is installed that the old provider software would be uninsta
Hi,I had created a new T-mobile account in 2019 at Costco wireless center with several lines. I received one Samsung A10e phone which was locked to T-mobile.Now I have moved out from T-mobile. Before moving out I forgot to unlock that phone.I am struggling to unlock that phone. I went to local T-mobile store, they could not unlock it so they called an T-mobile agent over phone and opened a case to unlock the phone. After 2 days I received an email from T-mobile stating steps to follow to unlock it.Below is the email content:This specific model uses an app that is accessed through the settings. Before completing the steps below to unlock your device you must be connected to the internet via a cellular network.1. From the Home screen, swipe up on an empty spot to open the Apps tray.2. Tap Settings - Connections - More connection settings - Network Unlock.3. Choose the desired device unlock type:a. Permanent Unlockb. Temporary Unlock - requires a mobile data connectionI don't have any T-mo
I am not able to forward calls on my galaxy note 9, which I believe after a software update. Whenever I go to call settings>supplementary services, I get an error"Failed to read data. Something went wrong. Check your sim card or network connection and try again."Does anyone having the same issue?
Does anybody know if you'll be carrying the Google Pixel 6 and Pro? The reason I ask is because there's a launch event on the 19th of October and then supposedly preorders is going to start on the 19th of October as well. I know that T-Mobile entered into a new Google partnership again which almost 99.9% guarantees that T-Mobile is going to get the new phones in the future. Also I just recently came across a blog post on T-Mobile's official website about how they're going to support future Pixel phones other Google devices as well as make Google Messages the default messaging app. So I can only assume that it's going to come to T-Mobile, but I don't want to jump the gun and make that assumption and get let down if it's not coming to T-Mobile. So I would just like to know in advance if the Pixel 6 is going to come to T-Mobile, so I can get prepared to preorder it on the 19th. Also I'm very well aware that I can get an unlocked version from Google directly and then use it with T-Mobile's
Hi, I recently bought a Sprint branded LG V50 which works reasonably well on T-Mobile. I found out that the phone will no longer work after Jan 2021 because Sprint/T-Mobile is not porting VoLTE and WiFi calling over to the device. So much for the un-carrier. When I called Customer Service, I was told I have to buy a new phone. I just bought this one. I do not get why I should have to pay for another phone. Is anyone out there in a similar situation? Is there a remedy?ThanksPete
I've been having some trouble with sending and receiving MMS while on a WiFi connection (so almost all the time) since I have stated using my T-Mobile sim on my unlocked Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge phone from Sprint. Everything else seems to work fine e.g. calls, SMS, LTE, but when it comes to MMS it's a complete stalemate. I've tinkered my APN settings in almost every permutation I found online, and I don't have an option for Wi-Fi Calling so there's nothing I can seem to do on that front. A solution to this problem, so I can start receiving MMS again, would be great.
