I just got a new Note9 coming from a Note8. Now many of my group texts appear to have been converted to "Chats" and have been closed. Now it's not letting me send group texts to those same groups of people. Is there a way to convert these back to group messages or a way to re-open/rejoin chats? I'm receiving group texts that I cannot respond to. Model: SM-N960UBaseband: N960USQU1ARL1
I recently upgraded my Samsung Galaxy S8 to Android Pie. Since then, I am having problems downloading new apps or updating the existing ones. The only workaround I have online in forums is to stop the Google App and restarting the phone. But that allows to download or update the apps that one time. I wish to do it again after a few days, I have to do it again. In addition, this brings the problem of not being able to use the Google Assistant, since the Google App has been forced off.Does anyone have a better or correct solution? Thanks
I want to know why we are being forced to update our phones every month. I am tired of having to update it and then go without my phone because I cant recieve phones for 5 days because of the updates. I have disabled "Auto Download Over Wifi" and I have even gone through the developers setting and turned off "Auto Update System". I dont think that we need to constantly have a monthly security update on the Note 9 or to be forced to update it.
I am not able to forward calls on my galaxy note 9, which I believe after a software update. Whenever I go to call settings>supplementary services, I get an error"Failed to read data. Something went wrong. Check your sim card or network connection and try again."Does anyone having the same issue?
LG V60 ThinQ frequently disconnects from 5GHz WiFi networks and will not reconnect or even see the network until I reboot the phone. No other devices experience this issue with my router / network. I have performed extensive troubleshooting restarting every component, changing the wireless broadcast channel on my router, etc. which does not resolve the issue. When will an update be released to fix this? This needs to be escalated to LG and Qualcomm and an update badly needs to be issued.
I bought this tablet Alcatel OneTouch Pop 7 LTE on eBay. Looks to be brand new. Tried to activate the 200 MB free data plan, and the customer service rep tells me that the IMEI # is for a phone. What?!?! This makes not sense. She also told me that the IMEI# did not come with 200 MB of free data. What?!?! The box says T-mobile. Can someone help me????
About 2 1/2 weeks ago, I started missing calls because my phone wasn't ringing and calls went straight to voicemail. For some of the calls that come in (including Telemarketers unfortunately), I hear the ringtone while others go straight to voicemail. A work colleague has called me and a few times the phone rang and the rest of the time his calls went to voicemail. It appears to be completely random and not associated with certain numbers, people in my contact list or calls during certain times of the day.I've had my phone for about 9-10 months and although I had other notification issues with it (which I eventually solved), I always heard a ring tone when a call was coming in up until about 2-3 weeks ago.I've checked all my settings and did some troubleshooting of my own1. Volume for all notifications is turned up (Do not disturb is OFF)2. I don't have any calls blocked3. I don't have call forwarding (in fact, that option doesn't even appear on my phone in the settings menu! What's up
I gave my friend my ATT Samsung S7 Edge. I first had it unlocked. We then took it to the store, and they activated it with a SIM. She can make phone calls, text, and use her home Wi-Fi, but she soon discovered she cannot connect to the internet outside her home. We took it to the store again, and they put the SIM in another phone, and it worked. Store employees called tech support and could not get it to work. I called tech support, and they had me manually put in Access Point Names (erc.tmoble.com and fast.t-mobile.com). Neither APN worked--although we did get a 4G symbol. I will add the phone has the latest ATT version of Nougat. It has been over 2 weeks, and she still cannot use mobile data, and no one seems to know why!!! I suggested she leave T-Mobile for ATT as it is an ATT phone, but she likes T-Mobile. Anyone have any suggestions. The only thing I can think of is going back to her Note 3, or possible doing a factory reset.
phone: Samsung Galaxy s9+model #: sm-g965u1Android version 10 (upgraded from version 9 pushed out by t-mobile)one ui version 2.1android security patch level: July 1, 2020 Since the last update, I get a notification from omadm “firmware update not completed”This notification will not go away and cannot be dismissed.OMADM cannot be disabled in settingsAlso, when unlocking the phone, I get another notification that the firmware update completed successfully!I get these notification about every 15 minutes. These notification also wake the screen up on their own all the time. How can I stop this?
Ok, not even gonna sugar-coat this, the new update is horrendous. The symbols look like they were designed for children, the orientation for the "all apps 'button' " on the display is awful (the old one held them like cards where you can see the majority of tabs, this one is like big open cards spread across a 16 foot table and you have to walk over and look through each one to get to the one you're looking for, or close all and start over, and they didn't think to add carousel), they screwed up my gallery,(twice mind you, orientation swap, unneeded filters and categories that auto-corrected where everything should be, etc), and the thing they REALLY shouldn't have touched was the camera controls (thanks for screwing up everything in my camera). I wouldn't give this a passing grade on a kids toy, who would trash my s9+ which I really liked "as is out of the box"? Who was responsible for this atrocity? Mind you this isn't whining about an update that has one or two things I don
I have been using Android phones forever and recently purchased a REVVL 5G which runs Android 10. Apps that I run like OneDrive, SMS Backup and Sync, PocketCasts, Tempest Weather, and others need to run in the background to backup photos, SMS, download podcasts overnight, alert on weather from my weather station etc. What is happening is that if you launch the app the backup processes work, alerts come in etc. Then eventually while not using the apps their background tasks are being killed by Android. I have validated that the battery saver is off for these apps since that is what every support site for the apps say to do. So if you look at this image for SMS Backup and Restore the battery management is off: But whey the app tries to perform it’s daily backup of the SMS messages: And vendor of the app has confirmed that the correct battery setting for the App and the System is correct so there is something going on here with the Phone/Android. These apps worked just fine on my olde
I tell my snobby iPhone loving friends that the 6T is the greatest phone I've ever owned... I feel dirty doing it. cause it's a lie...I have three large issues. The first one, my wife and I both seem to have with the 6T:1) Switching between WiFi and cellular for data often (most of the time) leaves us with no connectivity... We see full bars on wifi and cell, but nothing will load. Cycling the protocols USUALLY fixes this, but sometimes a reboot is necessary to regain access. This usually happens when going from wifi to cellular.2) When in my car, during a call over Bluetooth, the phone disconnects from Bluetooth and then reconnects causing the call to switch from and then to the Bluetooth repeatedly... I, basically, need to put the call on speakerphone rather than over Bluetooth to have a decent call.3) When in an area with no service, WiFi-calling NEVER works. I get a REG90 error in WiFi & internet. I tried clearing data and cache in the sim-toolkit, as suggested in a bunch of di
I've been having some trouble with sending and receiving MMS while on a WiFi connection (so almost all the time) since I have stated using my T-Mobile sim on my unlocked Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge phone from Sprint. Everything else seems to work fine e.g. calls, SMS, LTE, but when it comes to MMS it's a complete stalemate. I've tinkered my APN settings in almost every permutation I found online, and I don't have an option for Wi-Fi Calling so there's nothing I can seem to do on that front. A solution to this problem, so I can start receiving MMS again, would be great.
There’s a group ABOVE my favorites in the contact section of my text messages that’s called “Chatbots” with a contact called “Search for Chatbots.” When I click on it, I get a warning that it’s a T-mobile product, not a Samsung one, then it brings up a search feature which doesn’t seem to have any results.I’m curious what this was supposed to do, but what I really want to know is: How do I remove this?
Ever since the update to Oreo, WiFi calling has been finicky at best. It's OK after a reboot but once you leave the WiFi hotspot and get near to T-Mob network connectivity and then back to the hotspot it will not place a new WiFi call until after a reboot.I've deleted and re-added by WiFi connections and that doesn't seem to make things better. I had no issues with Nougat.I am in a fringe reception area and WiFi calling is my only connection inside my house at most times. This is a serious issue for us as we both have S8+ phones and at times have no phone connections unless we reboot.
