I don't want to use TMo's app. I'm sure it'll just have ads or do data collection or just otherwise be bad -- it only has 3.5 stars in the play store and looks to be filled with bugs. You guys suck for dropping support of the built in android voicemail feature which worked just fine.Ugh. Stuff like this, my terrible reception at home, and the sprint merger make me think more and more about switching -- and I've been a t-mo customer for 15 years!
As the title says I am getting duplicate messages to my galaxy watch. When im connected to bluetooth everything works fine, texts sync properly when read on one device. However whenever i disconnect from my phone and switch to LTE i get every text ever all pver again. Literally 1000's. You would think the solution would be to leave lte on all the time? Wrong. When i leave lte on all the time then my watch and phone dont sync! If i read the text on my watch it wont update ththe phone anand vice versa. The point of the watch is to be able for the phone and watch to sync AND to leave your phone behind. Ive read dozens of users experienceing the same problem whats the fix tmoble? Ps this isnt an issue with the apple watch lte
Hello,I just picked up the Note 10+ 5G from T-Mobile on launch day, and I'm having major issues with the phone's GPS. From searching online, it appears this is a known problem that was resolved on the Verizon version with a patch that was issued back in October, but seems to have been left out of the T-Mobile version. The phone will not obtain or maintain a GPS signal lock if you have the network set to 5G. It also struggles to get a GPS signal when in 4G mode too. Google Maps/Navigation and Waze both report "unable to connect to GPS", which leads me to believe it's a system issue with Android 10 or the firmware.I found threads reporting the same issue on the Samsung Community and XDA, I'm disappointed this bug wasn't addressed earlier like it was on Verizon. At least I got the Note via JoD, so I'm jumping back to the "regular" Note after my 30 days is up if this is not fixed soon.
After updating to Oreo via the OTA release, bluetooth audio now skips/stutters constantly. Before the update it never skipped at all. Anyone else experiencing this yet? Hardware/Software info: LG V30 LG-H932 Rev.1.0 from T-mobile. Android v 8.0.0, 4.4.78 kernel, h93320h software. The only bluetooth audio device that I use it with (so the only I've tested with so far) is my vehicles Pioneer AVH-X2600BT head unit.
I'm using a Pixel2XL on T-Mobile and the native Visual Voicemail (built into the Google Phone app) will not activate. The VM tab does show, and I have the option checked in the menu settings for the Phone app. I continue to get the messages "Visual Voicemail Activating" and "Can't activate Visual Voicemail". I have VVM on my plan via the ONE Plus add-on.I have removed the T-Mobile VVM app as I know that it will deactivate the native VVM. I have reset network settings, restarted the phone, and spoken with both T-Mobile and Google. I have yet to be given a reason this is not working. (Note: brought the phone over from Verizon but it's unlocked - all other data and voice functionality is good)
My Wi-Fi calling was working fine prior to the pie update. Now it works sporadically. I can text and make calls fine on the network, but Wi-Fi calling is another issue. I've had no issues prior to the update so I must assume that the update is the culprit. Anyone else having similar problems?
I’ve noticed that AT&T and Verizon have already begun preorders for the new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2….Any idea when T Mobile might join? I read somewhere that TMO isn’t doing preorders but will have the phones available at launch on September 18. Can anyone confirm?
Has anyone else had issues with the "radio" since the last update to G935TUVU4APIA?? I know John Legere had announced late August we would be getting an update for the radio to activate the 4X4 MIMO and 256QAM in the S7 and S7 Edge so wondering if there is a glitch in the firmware. Since the update it has happened few times when I notice the phone has been quiet or I try to do something and it says it is in "offline" mode. It shows bars but no E, 4Glte, 4G etc and when I go to service mode it shows what Band it is seeing but says "idle". I have to go into airplane mode once or twice for over a minute or two and that seems to kick the radio back on and it is fine again. Curious if anyone else has seen anything "hinky" with the radio since the update.
I keep receiving sms messages from short code number with the following text: Configuration Notification. Your MMS Service Settings have arrived. Open the configuration message and save the settings. the messages never contain settings or an attachment which I would not have trusted anywaysI have received them from the following short codes: 909, 5129, 5126, 5128, 5127. I'm using a one plus 3t and I have verified I am using the correct messaging settings as per https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-2090
So I bought a new samsung a71 5g from the tmobile store almost 2 weeks ago. Love the phone overall but the signal is getting me under 3mbps download and maybe 5mbps upload speeds in places by old phone was pushing 30mbps. Also the wifi calls drop all the time and then data service goes in and out. Here is a photo showing full 4g bars at Ontario airport for example and there is no network connection. Is this a known issue for this model, is there a fix coming? I am about to return the phone to the store honestly.
Okay, the V30 Pie update has been pushed by LG to the European theater, and to the south Korean market as well. We all know T-Mobile needs to test it and add their tweaks before release. It would be REALLY nice to have updates and an estimated time of release this time around! What say you, T-Mobile? @tmo_jonathan
Dear T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S7/S7E users, I have created this discussion to make a central location for us to discuss unlocking the bootloader on the G-930T/G-935T. For those who do not know what I am referring to, please read the following email to John Legere from myself: Good Evening,I am writing this email to you in hopes that at the executive level, T-Mobile will do right by their customers. For the past several years, Samsung Galaxy devices on Tmobile have shipped with an unlocked bootloader, allowing T-Mobile users and Android enthusiasts to run (and test) custom software which helps better the Android community as a whole. For me, this was the one and only reason I left Verizon Wireless years ago, so that I could continue to enjoy my device and test applications freely on T-Mobile.This brought thousands of other Verizon and AT&T customers over as well, as we had all believed in John Legere and his "Uncarrier" mission. Sadly, with the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, Tmobile
Of all the phones to come out this year, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro has me the most intrigued. While not available here in the USA, I was wondering if an international variant would work on T-Mobile, particularly for wi-fi calling. Here are the bands the Mate 20 Pro works on...GSM:850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHzUMTS:800, 850, 900, 1700/2100, 1900, 2100 MHzLTE (FDD):Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 12, 17, 18, 19, 20, 26, 28, 32LTE (TDD):Bands 34, 38, 39, 40Data:LTE-A Pro Cat 21 (1400/200 Mbit/s), HSDPA+ (4G) 42.2 Mbit/s, HSUPAFrom what I'm seeing, it looks like it will work for calls and data, but I have no idea about the Wi-Fi calling aspect. Thoughts?
I am not sure if this is an OS issue or not, but taking a chance someone will have a fix. We have two of these phones and they both have an issue where while on speakerphone, it will suddenly and with no discernible pattern or time frame, mute your voice to the caller. You can still hear them but they can't hear you. If you take it off speaker, they can again hear you (or use headphones, I was just learned). Since it's happening on BOTH of our phones and have subsequently found other people online with this issue, they must know about. Am wondering if anyone has any input on this issue. thanks!
Thanks in advance for taking the time to read this long post and to give me some help and advice. So I preordered a Google Pixel 6 Pro from T-Mobile's website, but I seem to be having a lot of issues with my order. What should I do? Because I have a feeling that I'm not going to receive my phone. That somewhere down the line you were just going to get canceled or they're going to claim that I never made an order. 1st off when I tried to make the purchase on T-Mobile's website as soon as preorders became available, there was some type of technical issue that was confirmed by customer care who confirmed that with the IT department. Then about 3-4 hours later the website was working again and I was able to purchase the device. So after I completed the transaction I never received any confirmation email and any of my DocuSign emails that I should've received after placing the order. Which I was able to confirm on T-Mobile's website and through the app that I had an order processing. The ord
Has there been any word on when Community-1 will start to roll out updates for the Community-2947? Out of the box, the device was already an update behind its unlocked counterpart, and OnePlus has rolled out two more OTA updates since the launch, putting us 3 updates behind after only two weeks. T-Mobile's Software Updates page shows no updates in progress for any device, let alone the 6T, and both OnePlus and T-Mobile have been reluctant to say exactly how much of a delay we can expect.14 days in, the 6T is still missing half of the features advertised at the product launch. No Navigation Gestures 2.0, No short press of the power button for Google Assistant, no Studio Lighting, and Screen Unlock fingerprint reader is slow and unreliable at best, just to name a few things that Oneplus had already added/fixed at launch for their unlocked devices.I can come to terms with not being on the bleeding edge anymore (I upgraded from a Oneplus 5T on the Beta channel), but I at least want to know
It appears OnePlus has had update version 9.5.10 out for several weeks now and T-Mobile has yet to send update out to their customers. The last two updates from T-Mobile have been only security updates for Android. OnePlus has released software updates to improve the camera and screen gestures and touches, but TMobile hasn't. If my phone was unlocked I could download the updates online. TMobile has to step up and refrain from not updating new phones.
Okay, this is April 7. My phone says that I'm on the Feb. 1 Android security update. These security updates are important to users, when can we expect the next "monthly" Android security update now that we're 2 months behind?Should I have gotten the Google Pixel 2 phone instead of this one? I'm starting to feel that way. According to the research that I did before buying this phone, I was under the impression that Samsung had said that they would deliver an Android security update every month. So is it Samsung or T-Mobile that's the hold-up here? What can I expect? Quarterly is just not good enough, if it even turns out to be quarterly. Is there a manual method for this, like an image that I can sideload to get the latest security updates? If I unlock my T-Mobile S9 the first opportunity that I get, will that help me be able to install an image that I can get on the internet? Or am I just hosed when it comes to all those Android security exploits that I see are getting fixed every month?
