Network & Coverage
Let's talk about our coverage, signal, and roaming experience.
It’s been such a struggle. For no apparent reason I can’t use certain apps such as Youtube, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, certain websites on Google. Whatsapp takes a few minutes to load messages. This all happens when I’m on cellular. I’ve tried restarting I did that thing where you #263#. I literally factory reset my phone. Please somebody help me.
I used to have T-Mobile but I work in an area that has ‘excellent coverage’ but couldn’t get phone service in the building where I work. They sent me a booster and everything - no service.I switched to Sprint and the problem was solved for almost two years. The DAY they flipped to T-Mobile six (6) of us in the office that had Sprint could no longer get service at our desks. It’s a single story building, metal roof and we are 14 regular steps from the front door. Can’t get calls, can’t make calls, customers that used to call our cell phones call the office and say ‘I was trying to reach --- but their phone must be off’. We say No….we have Sprint and when T-Mobile did the merger we no longer have service. How could our phones work so well with Sprint anywhere in this building and with T-Mobile you walk in the door and you have NO SERVICE! I am right back where I was two years ago. Time for ALL of us to go find another provider if this can’t be fixed. And it CAN be fixed because w
My daughter is going on an Alaskan cruise and then train tour through Canada. She is traveling on the Norwegian Jewel and she is on the Magenta plan. She is only 15yo so you can imagine what being totally disconnected means to her at the same time I do not want her to have zero access to a valuable safety line if needed. Does anyone know if this goes into international waters, I have tried looking it up but it is very conflicting when I read. If I understand correctly she will be charged .50 per text and 5.99 per minute for using the phone while at see, I saw nothing for messaging. But in Canada she is supposed to be covered for Unlimited texts and .25 cents per minute calls. And it appears there may be a charge for messaging but I am confused as to what the difference is between messaging and texting aren’t these just interchangeable words for the same thing. On our iPhones we have a tab for messaging but isn’t that just a text. I am so confused. Why can’t I just pay for a prepaid cru
When sending picture messages, my recipients are receiving them from another number, not mine. My phone number has an area code in another state, and this incorrect number has the area code in the state we live in. I do not receive the replies. And just this evening the owner of the other number started replying to my friends and family to stop texting the number to stop harassing them, because they are receiving the replies. I have a Samsung, and most information on this issue is inly related to imessaging.
Since switching to Tmobile for our home internet I have been losing the connection from the cell tower to my Gateway device. Spotty connection is not what I signed up for. It's getting more and more frustrating by the day. I called the support line and was told they were working on maintenance of the tower. It sounded like scheduled maintenance. Too bad customers were not notified in advance. But that doesn't explain the intermittent loss of signal to our gateway device everyday.
I do not get any service in the green area. Neither does my husband, who is on the same plan, but also anyone else I know that has T-Mobile. This is in Shiloh, IL and there’s even a T-Mobile store here. I’ve tried telling T-Mobile, but I haven’t gotten anywhere other than “the engineers are working on it.” But this has been happening for at least a year. I’ve tried the troubleshooting (resetting network connections, airplane mode off/on, rebooting devices, etc.) but the fact of the matter is that it’s not my phone, but the service in general. I cannot send texts, calls, or use the internet in this area. It’s not a rural area either - this is a populated shopping area with 2 hospitals and is not far from St. Louis City.Any advice on what I can do to get this resolved? I know there are other carriers in the area that have full service available, but I’d like to avoid the headache of switching phone providers.
Is there a way to set the S22 eSIM to use the 5G SA setting? I am currently showing NSA. Calling customer support, they told me there is no difference between SA and NSA, but online articles mention in a 5G city using SA will give me a better experience with the phone.
I have had T-Mobile WiFi for 2 months and I have been having the same issue at least 3-4 times a week. Sometimes it’s randomly in the day, but the majority of the time between 9-11pm or 6-9am, my wifi will stop working correctly. Every device connected and the gateway will say everything is connected and secure, but the wifi doesn’t work. Most of the time, websites buffer and then go out completely to the point where it’s as if I’m not connected to wifi at all. sometimes if I’m lucky the wifi will just be really slow (like taking 30 seconds to do one thing slow) but I can still access things. Just getting on this website and typing this out took me 20 minutes to do. I have tried the following:limited the number of devices connected unplugged and replugged the gateway (do this at least 3-4 times every time this happens) rebooted every device connected changed the location of the gateway 3 times troubleshooted called customer service (just got told to unplug) turned everything off and
This isn’t about spousal problems. My wife and I are on the same phone plan. We both have T-Mobile phones. Her’s is a Google Pixel 3a XL. Mine is a ZTE Cymbal Z320.A couple of weeks ago I stopped getting messages from her. We have tried and tested it time and time again. I can get texts from anyone else. I can send text to anyone including her and she receives them just fine. She can send texts to anyone else. But when she sends them to me I never get them. I have no clue as to why. This includes both SMS and MMS texts. I can send her pictures, or just pain texts, but nothing will come back even though her phone says the text is sent.Any suggestions?
I originally had the Franklin t9 which worked for about 11 months, then suddenly it stopped working, needing to switch the sim card to work for online gaming. Then it started becoming a daily ordeal. So I decided to pay off the device and get a new one since for some stupid reason theres no fixing the device. I just got the T10 yesterday, and it worked, but today it again wont let me play online games. Im on the same spot I was on yesterday, so literally nothing changed. except the brand new franklin t10 stopped working for online gaming on the next day (like the t9).To sum it up, it worked for months, then suddenly it starts only working every time I changed my sim card. And Ive changed my device from Franklin T9 to Franklin T10.
I broke my phone in Finland and had to buy a new phone there. I bought a Samsung Galaxy S 21 Ultra and popped my T Mobile sim card in and it worked fine for 6 months when I returned to the US. Then all of a sudden I couldn't receive calls. No notifications or anything. I could get calls over internet (whatsapp) but the phone would not ring. Attempted fixes included a hard reset (ugh), new sim, lots of setting changes, but nothing worked. The phone has two sim slots so I put the sim in from my old Finnish phone and called the number and it rings. So are the phone and the sim incompatible? Everything I've read says it shpuld work fine and it did for 6 months. Thoughts? Finnish Girl
When I don’t have Wi-fi calling enabled, calls cut out and drop constantly and I can only get one or two bars of cellular service. I live in a city. What’s the problem? Then my battery gets eaten up fast because it’s always trying to find a better network. You guys boast about your coverage, but I’m about to throw in the towel on this 20 year relationship we have because your coverage still sucks. I keep expecting that it will get better; it has to. It doesn’t. Wi-fi calling bought you some time, but Xfinity caps our Wi-Fi and I don’t want to use it for calling anymore, so I have to deal with calls like I’m living in the 1990s again. Seriously, what’s the deal?
Try This:I've got the cure for the Motorola G7 play probably will work on other versions of android as well on any phone. 1.Settings2. apps and notifications3. See all apps4. Tap the 3 dots menu upper right corner5. Tap show system6. tap phone services7. tap notifications8. Turn off alerts Goodbye notifications on the temporarily turned off by your carrier crap. You're very welcome!
Title says it but let’s refresh your mind… since last T-mobile network update fiasco that killed the usability of LG phones, my V20 has has issues keeping a connection to the cell network. It will connect but will loose it after a while of walking around. It was horribel at the beach so I checked the coverage map, and it was showing all pink, so I assumed it was ok… still had to go outside the hotel and hang around a metal pole to get connection and be able to talk.Back home, it is fairing no better. I even have a T-mobile mini cell booster at home cuz the coverage is sketchy, however, the phone will go in “Searching...” all the time. Then I set it to airplane mode and bring it back online again.. voila, connection is there. but not for long.WiFi calling also became very sketchy… it dies all the time at the hotel, home and work, i.e, everywhere so I can’t use WiFi calling.Already did a couple “Network settings reset” and power off/on, same issue. So, what gives ? Who else is having this
