Hi, I've received conflicting information about this so I'm hoping someone can help.I'd like to change my prepaid physical sim to a prepaid esim but I need to keep my number. I was initially told I could do this, but then told that a number couldn't be ported from prepaid to prepaid. I then thought I would switch carriers so that I can get an esim and transfer my number, but AT&T and Verizon only offer the esim on postpaid plans.I'm almost due to pay again for a new billing cycle so I canceled autopay in the hope that I could then purchase a new prepaid plan instead, and transfer the number.Any help would be appreciated!
I have heard about this happening to a lot of people, unfortunately I saw all the stories *after* I filed a claim. I will soon have to mail my damaged phone back. I contacted T-Force and they said that I cannot turn it in in-store since the Protection<360> stuff all goes through Assurant. I am scared they will lose my returned phone and then bill me for it, as has happened to so many other people.Has anyone successfully done a return with Assurant? Any advice as to how I can protect myself - like getting a receipt and buying package insurance? I've also heard filming myself boxing the phone and sending the package is good, does that really help? And what can I do if/when they lose my phone? Also, has anyone actually had a *good* experience with Assurant or Jump? Literally all I am seeing is horror stories.
A few months ago it came to my attention that I was not receiving certain messages from what seemed like a single person (they showed me their phone proving they in fact had sent me these messages). Then it happened with another friend. Both these individuals have iPhones and are on T-Mobile. I'm an Android user.It is seemingly completely random, sometimes even in the middle of a conversation, selective texts sent seconds or minutes apart will not come through. So far I have tried:Changing to the stock texting app (I normally use Mood)Clearing the text app cacheuninstalling and reinstalling Moodchanging the SIMT-Mobile advised me to do some kind of reset (which all it did was make me have to put in all my WiFi passwords again)full factory resetConfirmed APN settingsBought another damn phone.Annoying that I could never figure out wth was happening, but no matter, it seemed like things were working. Well, the problem has returned, and it's very difficult to troubleshoot or know when it's
As Power of Attorney for both my parents, I’m wondering what the best way is to get my mom control over the tmobile account that had my late Father and Mother on it? My mother has a cellphone, but all the contact info online has my deceased father’s information?
Trying to upgrade our phones. We’ve had our numbers with TMobile for 10 and 20 years, 10 years for a work line and 20 years for a personal line. We selected “upgrade” for one phone and when we selected the iPhone 12 it said we would be getting a new phone number AND our TMobile phone number that we’d had for 10+ years as my husband’s work number was not transferrable. We then tried my phone line, which we’ve had since 1999 WITH TMobile (the account has always been TMobile) and it said that number was also not transferrable. We do NOT want to change phone numbers but we need new phones. Soooo……I will call a rep tomorrow or stop into the store, but I hope that isn’t what it seems to be. Would it be because of the Sprint/TMobile merger? Because that would be sorta dumb.
I’ve recently purchased a new phone and am getting a monthly credit for a traded-in device (it was a mother’s day promotion). I would like to pay off the entire amount rather than having to pay monthly and am wondering if I can still keep my promotional monthly credit if I just pay off to close an EIP.The section below seems to say that it shouldn’t be an issue, but I have seen some contradicting answers. [[ From https://www.t-mobile.com/support/new-to-tmobile/promotional-credits#firstheadingIf you pay off your EIP early, you’ll continue to receive the promised Recurring Device Credits (RDC) as an account-level credit through the remaining months of the promotional credit period (up to 24 or 36 months).Thank you!
My company uses email to SMS for emergency pages for our techs. A few months ago, tmobile started blocking these messages, so we moved hosting of this distribution list from Rackspace to 365 Now, TMobile is again blocking these texts. The texts to Sprint, Verizon, etc all go through without issue. My company’s sending domain has a valid SPF and DKIM signature, and yet, these are still getting blocked. I really need some help in getting this resolved as it is affecting our business.
Hi! I have bought a SIM kit online- prepaid plan (due to COVID I can't go to a store and buy it). I have called for activation at T-Mobile customer support but they are telling me the sim appears as RESERVED status and it doesn't work.I have waited the 2 hours and called again, got the same answer and they told me to call after 24h. They also said I might not be able to get a REFUND and the sim might not work even after the 24h. I don't really know what to do. The money means alot for me and I really need the SIM. I am desperate, someone please HELP!! 😥
We have a mobile hotspot device with 6 Gb of data and i have always used the binge on feature and never finished all 6 Gb but last month i finished all of the data and i only use it for stuff under the binge on streaming list. This month the data restarted the 15th of October and now I only have 3 Gb left when i have only used the data for streaming youtube which should be on the binge on list. I have checked the media preferences and HD resolution is off and it says that binge on is on but why is it using the data. If anyone can help i would appreciate it. Thanks
T-Mobile gives us the ability to add Google Authenticator as a verification method.HOWEVER, whenever we try to login to our account online, T-Mobile still gives us the option to receive a text message verification code! This completely defeats the purpose of having Google Authenticator as a verification method, because the reason that we use Google Authenticator is so that we DON’T receive text messages for security verification.Receiving a text message verification code is the most insecure way on the planet to have any sort of a verification, because SIM cards are easily & quickly hacked in a matter of seconds.Furthermore, when you call in for customer service from T-Mobile, they don’t even ask for the Google Authenticator code anyways. So essentially, T-Mobile has very little security and doesn’t seem to understand security very well.
So, I have taken advantage of $500 off for Galaxy S20 FE with Trade-In. I have the new phone with me. However, I literally can’t find Trade-In Label or Instructions anywhere on my account. Can someone please help me out in this regard? Also, I did return an unopened OnePlus 8 back to T-Mobile and it was received on Monday. How many days would it take before my account is updated and the device is removed from EIP status?
When I on cellular, I randomly get blocked by webguard from websites like HomeDepot.com or Menards.com. I have never had webguard on my account. I called into support and they “allegedly” fixed this issue, but now it’s back again. How can I make webguard permanently go away? It’s really infuriating to have to call into support all the time to get this issue fixed . (iPhone 12 Pro 14.4.2, I am the account admin) I’ve already tried all the basic stuff: reset network connections, hard reset, restarting, wipe and fresh install absolutely nothing resolves this problem.Never had or used webguard but yet it keeps blocking me from basic sites.
When visiting T-Mobile.com I get the error code below:I am not using a VPN or Proxy on my end. To be clear, I've never had issue until I visited T-Mobile.com from a public hotspot near my home. When I returned home (literally 5 minutes later) I started getting the Incapsula "access denied" warning. Incapsula won't whitelist my IP address without being contacted by T-Mobile first. Any help would be much appreciated. I've already spent close to an hour on the phone with various T-Mobile technicians with the final response being to Tweet John directly which is totally unsatisfactory.
I haven’t seen a good answer to this so let me try the community: is there a way to prevent blocked SPAM callers from leaving voice mail? I have SPAMSHIELD which blocks the cll but it sends it to voice mail. I’m getting several unwanted voice mails a day. How do I block those numbers from also leaving voice mails? Much thanks.
I am a Sprint customer and am having trouble sending and receiving MMS. I had this problem with my previous phone (Moto X Pure), and switched to a new Pixel 4a a few weeks ago which seems to have the same problem. Both phones were purchased unlocked at retail. I have never had any problem sending or receiving SMS.With the old Moto X, when I would receive an MMS with a photo while connected to LTE, a “Tap to download” icon would appear instead of the image in the Android Messages app, but it would never download. If I manually switched to 3G, then it would receive MMS successfully, both new messages and the messages that were originally received over LTE and couldn’t download. With the new phone I can’t connect to 3G at all, and it will not send or receive MMS while on LTE.Looking at the system logs from an Android bugreport there are some errors when I try to send an MMS, mentioning “APN name is x.ispsn”, followed by an error “Can not find valid APN". The log messages are attached.I’m n
I set up a Prepaid Tablet Data Account ("Mobile Internet Network Access) about 3 weeks ago, and received an email "Welcome to T-Mobile" with my new phone number. I have called Technical Support several times, because when I try to login to My T-Mobile (using either phone number or email), there is an error message that I am not authorized to use this account. I went to a T-Mobile Store, and they were able to access my account, so I know it's active.T-Mobile Support just said this is a known issue, affecting many new accounts. The last tech said she would "escalate" my request, and get back to me. I've heard nothing.Seems like a wimpy reply. Anyone else having this problem, or know how to resolve it?Thanks!
