Want to eliminate and consolidate services. Would like to/need to add a hotspot/internet streaming device in order to watch YouTube TV on my home smart TV(s). What is required to do this and can I extend the signal to other portions of my home that are out of range?
I just installed the syncup drive devices in my car and my wife's too. I set up everything ok on my phone and I am getting information from both devices on my phone. I am trying to sign in using my wife's phone but it keep saying the telephone number and password do not match despite it being the same account. How do I sort this out?
I’ve had a T-Mobile SyncUp Drive in my 2010 Toyota Prius for a few weeks. It works well except for non-stop spamming me with notifications for “Oil Pressure Alert” : “Low oil pressure has been detected in your vehicle”. This happens every 5-10 minutes while driving. It makes the system fairly useless, as I have to either check a gazillion false alerts, or disable everything else useful. I had it checked out by an actual Toyota maintenance department at a Toyota dealership. They said they ran their own OBD scans and did multi-point inspections of anything related to oil pressure and level. They found no problems anywhere, and their best guess is SyncUp Drive is defective / malfunctioning. How can I troubleshoot this, and/or disable just the false Oil Pressure alerts? The app only allows you to change the following Health notifications: Check engine, Low battery, Diagnostic trouble codes, Recalls, Brake Fluid.
Hello: I have an iPhone that I have used to hotspot my MacBook. I recently got a second phone that also supports hot spotting. I used DIGITS to share my old number with the second phone. The second phone worked as a hotspot for about 20 minutes, then the hotspot stopped working and despite multiple reboots etc it no longer works. Is there a way to get the hotspot working on both devices so I don't have to always bring my iPhone with me if I need to hotspot?
Is anyone else running the SyncUp having an issue where it illuminates the dash ABS warning light? I’m running a 2003 Toyota RAV4. Whenever the car is stopped with the SyncUp device installed, the ABS warning light flashes. Removing the SyncUp causes the flashing to stop. Brakes were just checked, no issues there. Nothing set in the DTC.
Does SyncUP Drive integrate with IFTTT? There's a Mojio channel in IFTTT and I've hooked it up with to my.moj.io account but all my IFTTT recipes has "There was a problem with the Mojio service" and never run. I've contacted Mojio who has referred me to tmo support. I suspect tmo support will refer me to IFTTT who will refer me back to mojio who will refer me back to tmo support. S I thought I'd ask if anyone here has had any luck with getting IFTTT to work \with their SyncUP
I followed the instructions to a T.... I put the window unit, wear I get a full 5 bars on my cell phone... Without the booster hooked up... But when I plug in the window unit and put it in the exact same spot. I am lucky to get 3 bars on the window unit. Why is this? The coverage unit seem to be working correctly. But the window unit. There is something fishy going on.... Like it has WEAK antennas or something. Has anyone else experienced this?
I am about fed up with this thing. I did a merge on one of my two cars and ended up losing all the previous history of the car I had set up. There was no explanation given as to what data would be lost. Now I am afraid to try a merge with the other car.The second and most annoying problem now is when the device is unplugged and plugged back in a New Car is added. Why is this happening and is there any way to prevent it?
So I was able to download apps and watch youtube on a different wifi network but since connecting to ZTE Falcon My web browsing has been crawling, I am unable to download any apps through Google play store. It will say "downloading" but progress bar never moves past 1%. Also no matter where I try to stream a video I get "Sorry this video cannot be played." I called T-Mobile tech support and the girl said I had 2GB max data that I exceeded so upgraded me to 10 GB. My data bucket just reset today and I restarted my devices but problem, continues. I can not find any similar ocxurrences through web search so I hope to find a solution here. Thanks, KJ
I'm currently using TripLog on my android device to track my trips milage. It doesn't do the best job and I always have to adjust the milage to match my car's odometer. But, the app can use an OBD-II scan tool for milage tracking. One requirement is that the device have an ELM327 Interface to work. Does anyone know, one way or another if the SyncUP Drive works with TripLog or any other milage tracking app?
In the iOS software app, I have disabled trip start/complete notifications, however I continue to receive notification alerts every time I start and end a trip. It is annoying to have to constanly clear these out. I only wish to be notified for low fuel and vehicle disturbance as I have indicated in settings. Please resolve!
Hi folks. I got the SyncUP watch for my kiddo yesterday, and I can’t get the school mode schedule to work. I set up a schedule, but it is not following the schedule. It’s randomly turning itself off and on, almost like the time is wrong. Is it a time zone issue? Has anyone run into this? The watch updated last night, so that shouldn’t be the problem.
I purchased a SynchUp Kids watch for my child. It worked fine on the first day but seems to be having issues sending text messages after receiving an update on Jan 25. All other functions are fine (inbound texts, inbound/outbound calls, GPS, etc.). After contacting support, they confirmed that it is a known issue, and their technical team is working on it. They could not give an estimate on when it would be fixed. Anyone else having this issue and vague response from support? It has been about 3 days since I opened the case. I’m also a little disappointed that I will need to call back in for updates. I would think that the support team would at least reach out or be able to provide more information. I’ve only unfortunately been able to speak with level 1 support who does not have much information.
I got a SyncUP2 on a prepaid account on 5/22/19 it worked flawless for the first month. After the service ran up I added another month by call customer service. Well the payment posted and I got a confirmation email but it never made it onto the device. A week later I went to the t-mobile store and even with the confirmation number they could not find the paymen so I added another month through them. Said the account was active and device should be workin. Well it’s not. I unplugged the device for a week and still says it’s connected. It’s been almost 3 weeks since I added a plan to the account and it’s still not workin. Tried updating the app. still not workin. Deleted the app and reinstalled. Still not working. How has the device been unhooked from the vehicle for over a week and it still says it’s connected and won’t let me remove the vehicle from the app because it says it needs to be disconnected. Well I have the device in my hand with the car literally 75miles away and it still
I just installed and activated my SyncUp device. I get internet access, but my iPhone warns me that the security protocol is weak (TIK vs ARES). I found a FAQ that said something like you can go to http://192.168.0.1 and logon as admin. But when I connect to my SyncUp hotspot and go to http://192.168.0.1 nothing happens. It basically does not connect to the web admin settings. I’d really like to change the security settings if I can get past the URL.Any advice or workarounds that someone can give me? Otherwise, I do have access to the internet and can browse websites for the most part. Just can’t get into the admin part of the SyncUp unless the URL should be different than http://192.168.0.1?Thanks,RoarinRow
Last week the watch downloaded and update with no notice before hand that it was going to two days after purchasing. That shouldn’t be allowed unless I approve it via the app for numerous reasons but anyway the bigger problem is, ever since it will not charge unless you power it off and then stick it on the charger. At that point it turns itself back on and starts charging. It’s very annoying at this point of only having had the watch a full 7 days now and having to do this for the last 4.Anyone else having this issue and resolve it? Do I need to default it? Anyone know how to roll back the update?
I have a SyncUP drive and installed the app as well but it does not show the total data usage and neither the router config page (192.168.0.1), so how can I keep track of the total data usage? also, with SyncUP drive phone number I couldn't setup an account as verification PIN goes to the syncup drive number and there isn't a way to retrieve it. This restricts me from viewing my monthly bill, data usage/cap for the month and to reach out T-Mobile CSR through chat. Is there a solution to it?
