Tmobile home internet bleeding data?

since after 9 months of being on waiting list unlimited TMobile internet is still not available, they convinced me to try the 100 GB a month plan. Anyone else finding they are being lied to about the data being used?? It said I went through 100 GB in under a week and I was only watching shows on Netflix and Crunchyroll, only 1 device connected, no additional downloads... and according to T-Mobile texts from the time it texted me I was at 95% to the time it texted me I used 100% data was only 20 minutes.. there is no way I watched 5 gigs worth of movie/show in 20 minutes, even HD 4k takes about 1 hours per GB used... and then I go to the data usage section on T-Mobile it says I used all 100 GB, but further down the page it shows only 96 GB was used.. and now that I'm using low speed, it's even slower then low speed tethering from my phone.. (TMobile internet low speed is 2G .. TMobile phone tethering low speed is 3G ... 3 G you can still watch Netflix and amazon video, 2G you can't even

Day 1 of my 15-day Home internet Trial

Sorry but the signal in my location is not good. I am lucky to get 10 Mbps. Someone down the road 1 mile away gets over 200 Mbps on TMobile Home internet so I thought I’d give it a shot. I have put my device all over the house, even outside just to test. No difference. I want to cancel and quite within my 15 day trial. I call and I am told it is a 30 minute wait time for customer service 9pm Eastern on a Tuesday.Someone at T Mobile contact me at a reasonable hour and tell me where and how to ship this back.

t-mobile internet unable to ship to apartment number

Hi, I am trying to order t-mobile internet online.  I entered the address and it tells me it’s available, but it won’t let me enter an apartment number, and won’t ship to an apartment number.  How do I get around it?  I am logged into my account, but it only recognizes the addresses it can autocomplete.

What kind of credit check?

I was interested in trying T-Mobile Home Internet, but I saw there is a required credit check. I am cleared to close on buying a home and I have been advised by my loan officer to avoid running my credit for anything. Does anyone know if it is a soft or a hard credit check? Other companies that service my area only run soft credit checks and I’d hate for this to be the reason I choose one company over the other.

IP Flapping on Home Internet interfering with access to several online services

I have had T-Mobile Home Internet for a couple of months now. Previously I have had numerous brands of internet service: Verizon, AT&T, Solis(AT$T, Verizon & T-Mobile). With T-Mobile Home Internet I cannot use several sites that have never been a problem:I can’t get an FTP connection to work. I can’t use my banks bill pay. I can’t log in to another financial institution. I’m told that this is due to “IP Flapping”. I have NEVER had this problem before and have been using the now inaccessible sites for years.  Can T-Mobile fix this problem?

t-mo modem questions

i just got the square modem /gateway today and i need had to not only change the default on the modems passwords but a few other settings. so how can i get into the setting on this modem? a few years ago i tested the round white or silver one they called a trash can and i managed to get into the settings but i forgot how to do it. my netgear router has an ip address for it so i guess inac enter that and see but also what i need to get are the ports it uses. i have cameras and they are now connected to the netgear router and the t-mo modem is also plugged into my network and that network is plugged into the netgear router/modem. i kind of figure i will not be able to see my cameras when i’m away from the home but when i’m at home i want to see them. at this time i see 5 foscams but i can’t see the dvrs or nvrs so if i can figure out the default port or i can get into the t-mo modems settings and change the port then i may be able to configure the cameras on my phone. thanks

forever upgrade phone value

How do I find the trade in values of my phones.I have iphone 13 pro and 2 iphone pro max on my account. Don’t think it’s giving me the forever upgrade vaalue of up to $800. The website currently says may phones are worth $650 each for trade in value. I am on the Magenta Max 55 plan.

ipv4/cgnat down again

same thing happened 20 days agosupport “experts” are clueless, they don't know what dns is, what ipv4 is, what ipv6 is, and don't understand why i can browse ipv6 sites and not ipv4 ones. they don’t know what cgnat is.i wonder if they are trained for anything else other than billing and how to turn the device on and off.

Time to say good-bye to T-Mobile Internet

After 5 months of subscription, I have no option but to say good-bye to T-Mobile Internet. I have substantial investments in the service, both in time and money with high hope that it would work for me. I bought a Waveform 4x4 antenna that gave me a pretty solid performance until 3 weeks ago when things started to fall apart.It began with speed reduction. I used to get 150mbps up and 25mbps down but it was reduced to 50% or less.  If it had been just slower, I would have tried to do something more, such as moving the antenna to get better reception or just lived with it.  But it also started to have random disconnects, particularly during the day.  I downloaded a network monitoring tool to see how bad the situation is.  Yesterday afternoon between 3-4pm, it has 5 disconnects, lasting from 30 seconds to 5 minutes.  I am using a VPN to log into my comany’s network to do work. Any interruption of the network, no matter how short the inverval is will result in a reset of the connection. Th

Gateway Hard Reset

I have been using the T-Mobile 5G home Internet for about a year. A few weeks I thought my son may have performed an hard reset on the gateway by accident. Today while sitting in the same room, I went through the network dropping and when the gateway powered back on it had performed a hard reset on its own    Is this due to a possible firmware being pushed or an issue with my gateway and I need to replace?Gateway is:  Sagemcom Fast 5688W Gateway

Has anyone else been lied to by multiple T-Mobile representatives? I was told almost four months ago that unlimited home internet would be a maximum wait of two weeks … based on that and the combined price I signed up for the phone service. After several representatives told me multiple different things I was finally sent everything to get set up, after four days our internet came to basically a standstill.. upon calling I was informed that the high speed still wasn’t available and at this point the “supervisor “ had to admit that I had been lied to based on the chat log… still nothing could or would be done because NONE of the EXPERTS were under her and just so happens she also couldn’t put me in contact with any of the supervisors that were in charge of these people… almost comical… I should have came here and searched “lied to” . Seems pretty common for these people to not tell the truth!

Cancellation and refund

I ordered internet service on 05/10/2022 and received equipment on 05/17/2022.  I used the internet maybe 2 days and I cancelled and returned equipment on 05/19/2022.The T-Mobile received returned equipment on 05/25/2022 and they told me the refund credit will process 5 - 7 business day which is before my payment due date 06/07/2022.  But the credit was not processed until my payment date, so I paid full payment even I did not use the internet service.I called them and complain about the credit and they said, ‘I don’t know why the credit is not processed and I will process it now’.  Are you kidding me?  I called T-Mobil twice about the refund and confirm the credit before my due date but it’s not correctly processed on time.  How it possible even T-Mobil doesn’t know the credit is not processed until I called them today.I am more them 7 years with T-Mobile and I am so disappointed their service.

Enforce Home Internet Eligibility

It will then flag those guys that bought the Gateway at the local TMO stores and the reps faked the address to get the service for that customer. Now these users are not officially supported but now using the Tower due to fake locations. Overloading the system and legit customers affected. I say it's a great idea.

Lied to About a Promotion

I switched over to T-Mobile internet service on 11/29 and was told I qualified for a promotion they were running for a 50” television. I was told I would receive more information via text and/or through my account. I never received anything. I went out of town for Christmas and still received nothing. So I called customer service today. On the first call I spoke to KeKe, I was told the promotion I was asking about had expired on 11/29 - I had thought I changed over on 12/9. I went back and found my service contract signed at 8:46 p.m. PST on 11/29 while the promotion was still in place.  I called customer service again and spoke with Jessica. She first said the order wasn’t entered until 11/30 and I told her I would be happy to send the contract. Then she said it was after midnight EST so the promotion was expired. I told her I signed the contract at 11:46 EST and, again, I would be happy to send the contract.  Then I was told I only had 30 days to submit the promo code and that time h

Need DNS PTR record created for business internet (have static ip)

Hi, I’m hoping someone can point me in the right direction to get a dns “PTR” record set up for my new business account.(By way of background, a PTR record is necessary these days to send emails directly from your server. I’ve run my own email server since 1980 -- back when the world was ARPAnet and BBSs; I remember when “sendmail” came out from Eric Allman at Berkeley, and I still prefer to hand edit sendmail.cf [yeah, I’m that ancient; I still hand edit my linux kernel as desired too]. :) Anyway, all emails I send are 100% legitimate business emails, no spam. I hate spam. I’m migrating to tmobile-for-business from comcast-for-business, and they had no problem setting up PTR records upon request. So this isn’t something weird or anything; and it only takes the right person less than a minute to type in the two pieces of info to the right place to create a PTR, so it isn’t a hard thing to do. It’s not something I can do at my end, it goes in tmobile’s dns records. I have a static ip#,

Has anyone signed up and hooked up on the new plan T-Mobile just announced called Away Plan for RV users and travelers?

So we were getting ready for a 4 month motorhome trip and wanted to use our Gateway router tower to get Internet.   Got an email 3-4 weeks ago announcing that on May 8th T-Mobile was introducing Away Plan which would travel with you type tower and could hook up at locations with service anywhere in the US.   Sounded perfect till I tried to sign up.    Called 3-4 times to Customer Service and never did anyone who answered know anything about Away Plan.   One rep. said she signed me up and all was good.  I wasn’t.   The last rep. admitted that they really didn’t have any way for me to sign up.    What is going on?  I still want the service so maybe T-Mobile people could text me or something.   I would assume they would like to do this since the Away Plan is much more expensive.

5G Internet Addressing Issue

I want to get the T-Mobile 5G internet but I think T-Mobile has the addressing messed up for my location. The property I live on is 702, but 702 is split between two houses, A and B. The address search says that 702 as a whole is eligible for the internet, but when you break it down into A and B, both show up, but it says that neither are eligible for the internet. Is there anything that I can do to resolve this? I REALLY want to ditch Spectrum.

Streaming service

I just purchased the Internet.  My intent is to stream.  I do have a smart tv, google tv, tv with Roku.  I am curious on what streaming service people have the best results.  So far, it looks like You Tube.  I do have Amazon Prime and Netflix.

Unable to access Home Internet Award Mastercard

Received email today for $100 for Internet promo from Northlane.Com for signing up for TMobile Internet. No matter what I do I cannot access the Virtual Prepaid Mastercard from the link they provided. I have put in my regular cell number that didn’t work. I put in the number for the gateway and that didn’t work either.Any advice to access this would be appreciated.
